Post any strange things/easter eggs/weird glitches or bugs/out of map area type stuff you find in here. I know that 343 isn't Bungie, and Bungie are the people famous for eggs, but I'm sure there's SOMETHING in Halo 4.
You can get launched out of the 4th mission if you drive on a mongoose inside the ship and a hunter hits you right.
Far too many invisible walls in this iteration. And 10-second death zones.... Can't have any fun finding the old-style halo secrets with such limitations. :/
Actually, I assasinated I guy on a rock and he somehow got out of the assasination and killed me. No vid though.
I managed to find a cut spot in the mammoth mission. Near the end, just after you have the tanks and there is a large arcing road around a cliff, there are a couple of raised spots and dips in the cliff, and if you time it right you can skip out 2 fights.
the RVB easter egg on mission 5 of Spartan Ops. dont wanna spoil it for anyone, but you can search youtube and see it.
That **** is game breaking for Oddball. I've had my fair share on both sides of the game breaking as well and it is damn annoying.
The RvB easter eggs on both the two ending episodes. On gargarin, its very awesome if you activate the audio logs with the easter eggs on. You will actually hear Caboose, the sarge, simmons etc. Instead of the scientists. Oh and i smacked an Elite Hero across the map is Spartan Ops.
Sergeant Johnson look-a-like in the beginning of the mission where you fly the Pelican. Kill all the marines/spartans in the hangar and eventually a black marine with the same hat and uniform as Johnson will come out with a wave of spartans. He is the only one to have a shotgun out of all the personnel there. Also there's the Conan O'Brien and Andy Richter dialogue in the same area.
I had something happen like that too. It was bizarre. I was assassinating someone, and the animation just stopped for some reason. It just stopped assassinating him, and he was able to club me to death with his gun because I didn't realize what was happening. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Its game breaking for Flood too really.
noticed a cool new glitch- if you're in forge with another person and they're driving a mongoose, and you grab their mongoose while they're driving, they'll be ejected from it as usual like in past games, however this time they turn gold as if they've become a selected forge object, and then they remain glowing gold for the rest of the match. should make for some cool screenshots at least, i took some but of course i cannot share them.
one sort of easter egg is that when you have someone playing campaign with you on your console and they select "temporary profile" they sometimes will game names assigned to them from the original web series "Red vs Blue". my son was "Caboose" one time and I had to tell him what it was all about. 343i are definitely trying to win over long time halo fans. and they aren't doing a horrible job either. some parts lack, but many things are just pure awesomeness and it shows they really cared about impressing us.
The names for some of the characters were taken from the original temp names assigned to players in CE.
Alright, heres a new thing that started happening and wont go away. Every time I fire up halo I get a dialogue box that says I am banned from matchmaking for 1 week... then I simply load Infinity Slayer and play online. Useless annoying dialogue box is annoying.
