Not sure if I need to spoiler this but I am: Spoiler You can tell by the story direction in the campaign that a lot more women worked on this game than previous ones ;p
Got it! I just played around in forge for a minute to look at the pieces. I'm not dissappointed at all now. Many things I didn't do in reach cuz of glass & pieces with lights I can now do. I played only one mm game, infinity slayer on complex... I am actually so stoked with this game. The guns sound amazing, I love them. Mainly sniper but the AR sounds friggin beast now. Saw is great as well man. This call of duty thing had me worried but I am so happy now I have no gripes. I haven't touched campaign yet, but I am definetly going solo legendary first. I did it in reach, odst & 3 so I'll continue that for sure, regardless of the dificulty.
Fairly big spoiler: Spoiler The ending felt way too abrupt for me. Seriously, they built up the Didact and then barely gave him a chance to be the villain. Aside from that, it was absolutely stellar. I loved how they took inspiration from the rest of the franchise, and I loved the little back and forth Chief and Lasky exchange about clearing LZ's.
The wires that are on forge, are there any straight ones? I seen in videos that they are bent. Are there any straight wires on any forge map?
Has anyone tried the Mantis yet? Hopefully I can get Halo 4 soon...my parents wont let me. I might get it for Christmas though, hopefully.
In the one match I had on Ragnarok, it was easy to just go to separate parts of the map and let the Mantises do their thing. It was like we were co-existing on the map. I only died to it once, and that was because I tried to approach it from the front.
never heard of a backward scorpion. And I only say awkward because it's so nontraditional of a vehicle. You think 'imma go drive now', but you end up walking and have a shield and nice guns (which are rather bad long range, I might add). really fun and a great support tool, though one mantis is powerful, it can still be taken out with some teamwork easily. infantry on it's team must keep it safe to make full use of the thing.
They nerfed the crap out of it's machine gun, and now it's much more balanced. Though, when a banshee attacks a mantis it has almost no chance. EDIT: The mantis has no chance, that is.
Backward scorpion is when you're in too narrow of a space to turn around fully with a scorpion, so if you want to shoot reverse, you have to drive backwards. It was pretty annoying to control.
So... Umm... Not to be Mr. Buzz Killington... but will someone please explain to me why there are Call of Duty tendencies in a halo game?
Welcome to eighty million months ago. I'm actually impressed - in the whole two games of matchmaking I've played so far - how much it still feels like Halo, despite all the superficial copying of CoD.
Because sometimes, game companies think "hey.. that's a good idea..." and they utilize it. Every game is built around borrowing ideas and features of other games. They took these features, and they implemented them and they work beautifully.
