Wish I'd seen that, but here I am in stupid Norwich. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Anyway, in terms of competitive impressions: -Movement speed is quite nice overall, though movement acceleration disappointed me a little. I was hoping for a return to more responsive strafes, but this seems about the same as Reach, though I haven't done any side by side testing so perhaps it's a little better. -Jump height and gravity seem fine, will be easy enough to adjust to imo and should offer decent options for map design. -Shooting feels nice, though I think there's more aim acceleration than Reach. Not quite as much as 3, though again I haven't done any side by side testing. -Grenades seem very Reach-ish as others have said. Definitely not as powerful, but bounce and trajectory wise they don't feel like they've changed much. -Sniping is harder, at least for me (I should note that initially I thought sniping was harder in Reach than in 3 simply because I was used to the latter, so take this with a fair amount of salt). Head hitboxes seem smaller, and the recoil is noticeable. This is good imo, Reach sniping was too easy in a lot of ways, hopefully this puts more of a skill gap back in the weapon. -Rail Gun is really fun. Probably my favourite addition, and something I want to get a lot better with. The SAW is also a lot of fun, it's different to pretty much every auto in Halo history in that using it effectively doesn't necessitate sitting in permanent danger of melee range. Idk, maybe it's just that it's strong and I like tearing people apart with it, but it seems like an auto I can deal with. -Incinerator Cannon and Binary Rifle are hella strong. The former is just a wide field of death which makes rockets look like threading a needle. The latter feels like Jackals on Legendary. I'm not complaining about their inclusion by any means, but be clear that (at least to me right now) they seem stronger than any other weapon and are really gonna be about control rather than an inherent skill curve to their use. -It's too early to say how armour mods are going to feel day to day. So far I haven't ever directly noticed someone else's armour mods and their effect on my encounters with them, though this comes with the obvious caveat that I haven't even got 4 hours playtime yet, and the majority of people are low level so plenty of people have even equipped mods yet, let alone customised to their ultimate preference. I'm sure I'll think of more tomorrow, but that's all that occurs to me for now.
Can you edit your classes in-game in Matchmaking? Also, do you know which weapons are hitscan and which ones aren't?
SeSeems as tho as a lot of you either pre ordered the game or are going to the midnight release, enjoy having a new fresh Halo game in your Xbox either tonight or tomorrow as for I sadly won't be playing Halo 4 until the 13 for late pre ordering. Happy tbagging!
Early access to them because of Limited edition. And I have seen others using them at lower ranks than I am currently. I'm only SR9
i definitely remember that you need to be lvl 50 to unlock the specializations, even with the LE. i dont know how people are using them at lower levels
While I was at gamestop I played in the trailer that had a few xboxes set up. It was really fun. We played 2v2 slayer pro on Relay. It was the first time I actually did well in a Halo game. Once I installed the second disk, do I need to have it on hand anymore?
First off, about my last point from before: I just tested it out. The team option on Trait Zones actually do affect specific teams. Side note: I preordered from Gamestop and I don't think they gave me a code for the bonus. Is it not on the receipt?
FUUUUUAAAARRRRRKKKKK! This game. Jizzz.... Straight away started up campaign with a friend and we've done about half of it already. Then dropped into matchmaking and already it is definitely sticking true to the Halo legacy. I was able, after a brief warmup, to get 20+ kills per game because it felt exactly like a halo game should. Im a bit annoyed by the lack of any unlocks when you first start War Games. You literally cannot customize anything until like rank 4. I did get that exclusive Venator armour so for now thats my pick. Also the severe lack of emblems is ****ed. I cant make my traditional emblem anymore of the buzzsaw smiley face. I also dropped into forge was met with kind of disappointment... It really wasn't anything new. Ah well. Ill still try and make some sweet maps.
Yeah the first disk but not the second. The second is practically redundant once you've installed it all.
hmm i dont think theve set up the fileshare system on waypoint yet haha, i took some time to take some screenshots cuz the games so beautiful, they came out pretty good too, if i can find out how ill post them here
the gamestop i was at said they were having trouble with their systems and the codes were not printing out, so to call back the next day and they'd give it to me. hope that helps.
Oh yeah, great. Im getting my LE somewhere today. And guess what happens exactly on 6 november? XBL runs out.. I mean comon! Edited by merge: Halo 4 in my subbox on youtube, everywhere. Look at 0:14, i see an block that looks like an lift. Pretty cool And on impact i saw an object called door jam, thats so cool for infection. Halo 4 - Erosion Forge Pallet - YouTube

Just got mine, I'm already disappointed .. no instruction manual .. I miss those things, now I have to stare at the box for 4 hours at work without anything to read
I got the exact same score in my first competitive match in Halo 4 as I did in my first competitive match in Reach. 25-8 Halo 4 is absolutely wonderful. Even more so than I had expected, which in a way is a bonus.
