...so basically, Master Chief outranks all of the infantry - My original point. :| Wood Wonk; you're referring to the ODSTs that disliked Spartans. They didn't appreciate a spartan because the spartans were genetically engineered for warfare and that was why they excelled in combat, an ODST however, trained his/herself to become the best they can be without genetic alterations. Spartans were also seen to have cost ODST lives by their strategies in combat... Spartans also spent countless hours in classrooms learning multiple combat strategies. They were strategists.
parts of it were corny (I think they should have made it less about MC and more about the solders) but overall, it was enjoyable
A fantastic end! I was very impressed by the visual design team and the actors for making this seem as realistic as possible for a low-budget project. Spoiler Anyone else find it strange that there were so many UNCS ships at the end? I mean, wouldn't they be at a very low due to them being just in a highly costly war?
Spoiler Since the war ended with the ark rather than a fight to the death they likely had many ships left over, and after the near extermination of humanity they probably figured it would be a good idea to keep a strong military. Not sure why we're spoilering this but w/e
Also the Covenant didn't finish Earth off to the last ship, what was seen at the end of the episode was the escort detail of frigates that accompany the infinity, and it wasn't that many ships.
UNSC Infinity - Halo Nation An escort frigate was in the halo 4 demo at E3. As far as where the rest of them went, they could have broken off to engage the covenant around the planet, they could have gone back to Earth to get reinforcements when the Infinity went down, that explanation is insanely easy to cover.
Has anyone any info about what happened to Sullivan and Orenski after that? Lasky appears in Halo 4, so im just waiting for that. But im just curious if anyone has an idea what has happened to them. PS : The hunter scene was so good, amazing music too, that was what won me over on that scene. The music fitted in so good... And they better have that assasinate option in halo 4!
The Frigates being there I can understand, but how the hell have they still got cruisers? The Halgon Class in fact? (Same as the Pillar of Autumn). I thought all they had was Frigates left after the war? EDIT: And the Infinity.... Thinking of which, seems like the Infinity will break a tradition of not being destroyed or damaged.
Read Halo Grasslands...or click the link I had in my last post. The Infinity was built in secret in the Ort Cloud near the tail-end of the Human-Covenant war. Also at no point in any of the books nor games did anyone say Earth was down to its last ship or ships. Having just 50 ships left is still a slaughter when they started out with several thousands in different battle groups.
Already read Glasslands and Im sure that I read the Infinity's wiki page 10 times, but thanks for the pointers.
Considering SpOps takes place six months after campaign with the Spartans sent down from the Infinity to Requiem, it survives.
