NO MORE "What will you use?" POSTS! ALL DISCUSSION HERE! ~Sharp I'm sure everyone would expect me to throw this on now. What sort of Sniper class weapon would you choose in Halo 4? The Sniper Rifle The Beam Rifle The Binary Rifle Me? The Binary Rifle, I always wanted some form of sniper rifle that will kill in one shot. Sure the targeting laser may be annoying. But I am would love to try it on Personal Orbindence (mind the spelling). I guess I will have to try the Beam Rifle out. I never really used it in H3. Mostly because I didn't snipe then and also because I didn't really didn't think about sniping with it.
Beam Rifle. Simply put my favorite NPPW (Non-primary precision weapon) of the entire series. The ability of no reload is just so very useful. Not to mention how badass it sounds
Who wouldn't pick the Binary Rifle? That gun looks incredibly strong and possibly overpowered to be honest. I do however find the beam rifle the coolest sounding and looking
What I'm looking forward to most of all is putting sniper drops in my maps that have 50% chance of a sniper and 50% of a beam rifle (need to try the binary before I decide on it's place in the sandbox, but I assume beam and sniper rifles should be fairly interchangeable. ) Im MM I'll take a binary when I can get it, otherwise I need to see how each one feels. Moderate preference towards beam rifle though.
Oh cool idea. That would be fun, not knowing what you're going to get and adapting to whatever you receive.
Lol, not according to the H4 discussion thread... Looking forward to all three, of course, but I think my eventual preference will be the good ol' sniper rifle.
I'll have to see how they play differently and make sure that both are valid in the map/ that position, but I think that they are similar enough to do something like that.
Am I the only one who liked the old Beam Rifle sound infinitely more? I'll still pick Beam Rifle for function, as always, but in terms of appearance/sound I'd go for Binary. Human one just looks meh this time around honestly. I liked the Reach or CEA rendition in terms of appearance best.
I wanna try the binary rifle, but if it leaves a trail behind during scoping in at all times, I'll stick with the beam rifle.
I don't think I've seen anyone else post in favour of the new Sniper's look, but I really like it, nice departure from the square scope screen imo. But I have always liked the Beam Riflle's concept since having overheating rather than reloading makes it much more dynamic in terms of effective use and allows for more depth to the weapon. That said, I didn't really use it that much in Halo 3, partly because it wasn't an option very often and partly because it felt and sounded much less satisfying. Looking forward to giving it another go in Halo 4.
I've always loved the human sniper rifle. Too bad I don't have sound on my computer. I would like to hear what all of the snipers sound like.
I suppose we will be seeing another post soon between the Rockets, Fuel Rod, and Incineration Cannon?
I like the binary, honestly. I'm rubbish with a sniper, but I can get body shots so that will be lovely to use. I'll just let one of you folks grab the human/covy sniper drops.
