Two things, Shields It is explained in one of the halo books that the Mjolnir armor he wears is highly resilient to plasma weaponry (which would be the case in FUD as he doesn't have shields yet)
it's resilient, but not invulnerable. and the needle rounds were just bouncing off him or breaking like glass, i thought i remember reading they could pierce extremely hard materials
He wasn't being shot up the ass with them, I witnessed like 4 glance off of him. They also weren't being shot point blank at him.
I guess you're right, but it's just things like that that bother me, even though it's not necessarily a big deal.
Regarding the magnum, only the middle part on the top slides back. You can't even tell from the angle the footage was shot at.
"The Face of the Chief" - Halo After Dawn with Sark and Kovic - Episode 12 - YouTube Interview with Daniel Cudmore Also on the topic of the needles, they were not going through the concrete barrier either.
its kind of weird to think that chief is younger than all the cadets. i think. they seem older than 15
I'm a little confused about one thing, why do the cadets not know who the chief is. Why isn't he a legend to every member in unsc
Spartans at the time were a secret, as news breaking out about kids being brutally trained would be disastrous. Also: Is anyone else annoyed at the sound of Chief's steps? Hopefully this will not be implemented in the game. Spoiler The thing that bothered me the most was the fact that there was a perfectly good Warthog surrounded by rubble and dead guys. Spoiler Yay! Master Chief vs Hunters!
in addition to the whole spartan program being a secret at this point, the spartans have only really been active for a year. they underwent the augmentation process in 2525, when they were all around 14. FUD takes place in 2526. chief is 15 years old at this point, he has only fought the covenant one time before this i believe. hogs are tough, man
Hog + Plasma Grenade = rubble pile. Spoiler Though I suppose there were no plasmas shown nearby, just carbines, swords, maybe some plasma rifles.
This is a CE warthog. The Indestructible Jeep of Liberty. It's only the later versions that were made of eggshells.
Do we really have to keep spoilering this stuff... I mean if someone clicks on this thread, either they're gonna have already seen the episodes or looking on the first page for the links to watch... not back here.
i didnt even know the fourth was out, but found out when i came to this thread and was happily not spoiled
"News breaking out about kids being brutally trained" was not the reason the program was kept secret up until that time. ...what? How was walking supposed to sound. He's not actually wearing a 1000lb metal suit. Microsoft isn't going to damage its one warthog in anyway, even for realism.
they could have damaged it with vfx but yea... budget. all dumb things to complain about imo. its not a hollywood blockbuster. be happy that there's decent vfx at all.
Microsoft does not own the warthog. The guy who built it from WETA does. He didn't even use WETA funding to build it because at that point they were unsure if they were doing a movie or not so he just built it because he could.
