Minecraft Thread

4J studios has confirmed that 1.8.2 has passed microsoft cert testing. and we will receive the update tomorrow.

 

Now that we have creative mode, does anyone want to start a community village with me? You know, like an official forgehub minecraft community world.

Not to mention the newly added adventure mode and skins for the Xbox edition, creating a little rpg town can be really fun and engaging.

• Players can build a little house in the town
• Earn gold by doing town quests
• Adventure the world and nether to collect loot to sell
• Get jobs as blacksmiths, shopkeepers, bankers
• ... And whatever ideas we can imagine or use can be implemented as well!

 

I've begun working on a FH server already .
Aswell as a hunger games map for people to play on.

 

I loved the 1.8 update on PC.
It really reinvigorated my love for MC.
I hope it does the same on 360.
Guess I'll find out tonight.

 

For anyone who has the 360 version, I need some help filling in extremely large areas for a project of mine if you're interested.

 

I've got the same problem on my hands for my world, sorry.

 

Work in progress or my overgrown ruin temple. It crosses a deep ravine and in the ravine are many abandon mineshafts.

Anyone really good with this style that would want to do a massive temple inside the walls of the ravine? I will be doing it myself regardless but maybe someone would like to get in on it.

 

i have not left creative mode since the update haha i cant get screenies of anything ive been building but shihuru i would like to see what you have been working on in your town, send me a inv sometime.

I'm liking the bridge zath, my friend had one of these but his did not have any structures except for the start. Anyways I'm building a medievil city, it's coming along very nicely if anybody wants to come see, after I finish building I'm going to put it as a RPG, survival world with my friends.

 

So if you do not trust players they can't open doors chest or use bows, they can't even eat... They need to fix that in their next update.

So there are three Borderlands threads but there can't be two minecraft threads, one for Xbox and one for PC... which are like 30% different?

Someone may want to address this..

 

Ya, I always thought it was stupid for them to merge the thread as well.
I just never thought it was anything worth persueing.

I did have a 360 thread, don't know why they decided to merge them, they are two games at separate stages.

Anyway, FH server on the 360 is coming along nicely.

also, for 1.5 on the PC, not 1.4, they will be fixing the lighting and redstone bugs.
This does mean that your glitch-run redstone contraptions, such as the BUD switch will no longer work, and lighting can pass through stairs and half slabs. All to come in 1.5

 

So i first downloaded minecraft the other day, and i haven't stepped foot outside of creative mode, are the other ones fun?

 

Survival is where it's at.

 

Creative Mode gets boring REALLY fast. There's literally no point to building other than building.

In survival mode you actually have to put effort into it and work at stuff. You have to work for your projects and when you finally do finish them you feel an awesome amount of achievement for completing them.

You should Definitely try Survival.

 

Wrong. They are either going to leave the useful glitches (Such as BUDs) or implement them into the game, such as the "BUD Block" or something.
