regarding the time frame, i didnt count it, but in the IGN map video for Exile, he PPs the downed banshee. im too lazy to go watch it again and count but yea, its there to see. from my memory of it, it seems about the same? ___ i dont have any least favorite maps yet since i have not played any of them yet, but my favorites based on videos and look so far are: Meltdown Longbow Exile Vortex Adrift ___ edit - regarding forge and the whole thing about 'getting sick of how it looks' ... it doesnt really matter how the pieces are textured, it wouldnt even matter if each forge map had drastically different textures for the pieces on each... we would all still get sick of the look of them pretty quick because we are forgers and we spend MONTHS AND MONTHS within forge. there is no avoiding it, we will eventually get sick of how everything looks. i think that we should be happy with the change we've got and be excited about the new possibilities. and regarding the limited size of the gravity volumes... i am going to do a little ass talking here, so watch out... considering the amount of computing involved with changing the entire physics system of the game on the fly when a player enters the g-zone, i would imagine that its as much as they could manage without ****ing things up. the entire physics system has to fluidly change for the players in the zone, while staying the same for players that are not. they must have had to keep it limited in size in order to even make something like this possible on the 360 at all? i think that we'll still be able to come up with creative and engaging ways to use g-zones anyway. so we cant make an entire zero-G map the size of blood gulch... who cares? that would be stupid anyway.
Also the charge is smaller, it would seem. I know in videos I see that when it is held for a few seconds it lowers amazingly quick. Really a big fan of that. Glad to see some of these vehicles seem better now. The ghost always had potential, but running over people was always the most efficient option with it. That was bad design... looks like the guns on that are worth something now.
Rooster teeth mentioned all the way back at RTX that you can flip them different directions to distort gravity directionally, and that they affect 'physics crates' (Moveable objects). Hopefully this means that it's possible to make a rubber boundary around maps now with sideways facing gravity volumes.
I don't think it is possible for the camera to change orientation. If you tried to walk up a wall or on the ceiling it would seem as if your neck is bending at impossible angles.
That's pretty balls. They're still pretty useful though, I can see a lot of uses in competitive maps, let alone all the mini-game **** that will be possible.
This will probably change drastically upon playing them, but Solace Haven Ragnarok Vortex Longbow Meltdown Exile Adrift Abandoned Complex
I'm happy they're there for sure. @silence: yeeeaah happy to see you on team Hate Complex. I might have to make a "Veto for Complex" social group.
http://halocouncil.com/showthread.php?t=960&page=119 Just saying, there may or may not be a super cool video of some forging on Impact somewhere on this page.
Im with you there. I am with you there. Definantly should have made a smaller 3v3-4v4 map for mlg and stuff. Complex was at the bottom of my list in my top 10 Favorites Solace Abandoned Vortex Ragnarock Haven Meltdown Adrift Longbow Exile Complex Least favorites [br][/br]Edited by merge: So i may or may not have watched that super cool adrift vid that may or may not have been on that forum page. Adrift looks sweet. Its gonna be my forge map. Also YUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! there are now 4 lights in the pallet DDD
Wow that video was sweet. There seems to be zero framerate and Impact is a lot bigger than I thought. So pumped right now.
that was super cool indeed. Overkill came through for everyone there, that is awesome! I hope this alleviates some of the concerns people have expressed about the size of the forge spaces. Looks pretty big to me. Sure, its no forgeworld, but that place was too damn large anyway. I agree with you about the stupid corner 45... why the hell put that silly little lip on the edge of it, now that piece is gonna ugly everything up. That Silo piece near the end was also pretty cool. I was pleased to see how massive it was.
They might have put the lip on the corner because its either upside down or its built for the BridgeRamps and such
Making Halo 4: Infinity Multiplayer - YouTube Guys/Girls, we still have the platform XXL. BS angel forgot it in her list. My proof. Pause the video at 7:56. Do you see it? I sure as hell do.
I can't watch the mentioned bid because my "device does not support adobe flash player" yet I can watch every other video on the Internet. That some ****. Anyways, it sounds cool from what I've heard I'll just pick apart what I can in 11 days.
Yeah the lip is on the bottom. Apparently all the bridges are slightly wider now..their railings actually like "overhang" the piece. So you now have 2 units (a 2x4) of walkspace, plus like .2 on each side for railing. So those bumps on the bottom are where the railings are I think.
That in interesting. Cannot decide if I like it or not. It will certainly change how we use those pieces a bit.
