To an extend I agree with you, but they went a bit overboard. Assault and territories were classic gametypes and we played them in customs quite frequently. Back in Halo 3 both played much better than in Reach and I think most people were hoping they would be more fun in Halo 4.

 

Race was in Reach and it wasn't in matchmaking. People will complain about anything you can't please everyone you do whats best and ignore the haters.

Using the restaurant analogy, Go to a restaurant they can use any food(gametype options) they want and you can order any food from there menu(MM) but when you go home(custom games) They shouldn't limit what food I can to eat(deleting custom game options)

I honestly try to understand both sides to every argument but I don't see the reason for removing gametypes for customs. Gameplay perspective there is no reason so whatever the reason to remove gametypes was(some random development reason), was greater then providing best custom game experience for players.

 

Because microsoft wants people to have to buy gold accounts.

 

Quick question here, im dutch. And i havent pre-ordered the limited edition of halo 4 yet. Does any dutchman here know where still can do that in the Netherlands. Would be mostly appreciated.

Thanks, i only could find it on Bart Smit and a other site. I noticed too, that they removed it. Because yesterday i found it on Dixons, but now its gone too. Thanks again, will probally buy it from one of these sites.

 

Found this post and he seems to be right, there's hope for doubles etc.

 

Also if you notice under where it says "INFINITY SLAYER", it says 4vs4 team slayer. Not 5v5. That confirms team size at 4v4!

maybe I'm a little late on the draw, but you are saying that some major game types are only playable though matchmaking? which ones?

 

what post are you referring to? anyway i dont think so, anything thats in matchmaking will be in customs as well, im almost positive

 

The issue is that some previously major gametypes have been removed completely.

 

now that I knew, yeah, it sucks, but I guess we can improvise?

meh, In all honesty, if the reach base remains strong, I'll just go back to Reach after I finish H4's campaign.

 

theres no way the MM will be any worse than reach...
if im going back to anything, itll be back to halo 3 (again), but i really doubt that'll happen this time
