The WarZ is a standalone Zombie Survival MMO inspired by the mod and soon to be Standalone "DayZ". The War Z: The Survivor MMO Zombie Game coming to you this fall! Right now, it's bare dry with content, (due to it being alpha) with only half of it's first map, "Colorado", present, and a 30 player cap (when player count is expected to be 256). It's a huge free for all. With Zombies. Soon, minor skill trees will be in order (not like MMORPG style), and more options to customize your play-style (renting servers and having in-game groups and clans). I have the game, and I love it so far. Don't expect to survive too long, however! My longest survival time was about 2 hours, so be careful! (I was pissed too, because I had a Saiga shotgun and I was kicking ass, till like 4 zombies bumrushed me and my buddy from behind when I ran out of ammo.) Discuss your stories about WarZ and other things related to WarZ here. No WarZ vs DayZ ragefests please!
Yeah it's PC only... I haven't played the game yet but the idea of safe houses in a zombie survival game seem kind of redundant. I mean the game won't really keep your interest if you're holed up in an impenetrable fortress, from zombie or otherwise. It just kind of defeats the purpose of a survival game.
There are no "SafeHouses" in the game. There are two safe "zones" where you aren't allowed to use weapons and you are allowed to access your global inventory (all the stuff that is not on your character). No zombies spawn around these zones and they really aren't all that great. You don't see anyone there, there are no loot locations in or around the area, and the only reason you'd go really is to deposit or withdraw stuff from your global inventory.
Just got the game, died half an hour in after being killed by a bunch of bandits... it kind of went like this: Bandit: "Are you friendly?" "Are you friendly??" Me: "Yessir" Bandit: "Good, stay right there" At which point my head exploded from a sniper bullet. Immediately after, roughly 10 other bandits came up and all started t-bagging my body. So there's still the deviousness and trust issues that there are in day z... lesson learned... if you see light in the distance near some buildings, go the opposite direction. I've been looking for some people to go around with so I don't get completely ****ed by bandits all the time. Any takers?
Yeah, I've been killed countless times like that. I'm on Steam right now and will likely be almost all night, hit me up when you are ready to play.
