neither samurai champloo or cowboy bebop have anything to do with gods... Deathnote is more godly than those two. as for automail, it is fully plausible, since the way it works it that they attach receivers to your nervendings to transmit the nerve pulses that would have moved that limb if it were still there. We even have some of the technology already, just slightly different. by slightly different I mean there is something that can just read the pulses from you brain rather than the nerve endings, I had seen a video where they tested it with chimps a long while ago. This one isn't limited to replacing limbs though, as they were moving a robotic arm that wasn't theirs at all. (A third arm basically)
When they say "Godliest", they don't mean anime involving gods hence Clannad being in there. They mean the best group of anime to date although the listing is obviously somewhat biased. Also, just watch TLRD. Killed with censoring.
I'm not sure. I would not list a world god only knows in any top list, if it weren't related to gods being in it. Several others were god related as well.
Thanks for the information, Aschur, it's pretty cool to know they're (sort of) researching something like that. I finished FMA: Brotherhood... again. I'm sad... it's over. :C Anyone have any Anime suggestions? The whole reason I love FMA so much is because of Ed's automail leg. It inspired me to get better with my leg - and not even a month after surgery, I'm already walking on it with full pressure. So, if at all possible, another anime like that would be perfect! I know, little crazy for an anime to inspire me to make my life better, but hey, it worked!
So, for clarification, an anime with a protagonist with a prosthetic leg? Or an action adventure? (Or both in one, like Fma) I'm sure I can find something for ya. Might take a little more effort on my part without a computer to do this on but its no biggy. as for me, since I can't watch anything I've got on my HDD I've been watching of the crunchyroll for android app (The only app I could find that worked) Just caught up on SAO and watched a few new anime (My little monster, the pet girl of sakurasou, blast of tempest, magi, and what hopefully will follow the manga closely; btooom.) edit: I'm trying to be more active in here again, despite my current computer conundrum, so I'll do my best to still find stuff for you guys.
Both, like FMA would be perfect, but a main character with just a prosthetic leg would be great as well.
Well, prosthetic arms seem to be a lot more popular, for that I think that D.gray man, and the manga for Berserk would be good for you. I remember some anime that had a girl thatt lost her leg and replaced it with a gun... Can't recall the title but it didn't seem like what you want anyways. Oh, also if you haven't seen it, Akira has a character that loses an arm and replaces it. But again, that is an arm instead of leg. I'll keep looking for ones with prosthetic legs though.
Thanks Aschur, I realize that a prosthetic leg is a bit of a weird call, so thank you so much for looking for me I'll check out D.gray man and see how I like it.
So, I joined the Anime and Manga society at University, and guess which anime they decide to start with. Sword Art Online -.- I was kinda saving it until it was all done, then watching it over the course of a week or two, but now I'm half tempted to watch it all right now. We also watched Daily Lives of High School Boys. I've never seen so many anime stereotypes thrown into a single episode. Was rather good, I would probably watch the rest of it if I had the time. It's got no plot but it's in sketch form instead, each one most likely covering an anime stereotype or two.
I will give you a spoiler, SAO reaches its conclusion at the most current episode. From what I hear they move onto a new MMO after this episode. So you should be okay to rush it to where its at now. Edit; that means up to episode 14 will he fine, but watch episode 15 and you'll be wanting to eatch more even though there int anymore yet.
Should be when it is done. Right now theres only 15 episodes out. As a side note, I'm about 4 episodes into Kokoro Connect...its alot better than i thought it would be. Ill keep watching to see if it stays good.
Aschur, is it also called [C] Connect or something? I have been watching random episodes as I see them updated by Funimation on Youtube, hahaha. I'm going to have to go back through and watch it correctly. I finished PSG yesterday. The ending was obviously set up for another season, but it doesn't look that's going to happen, sigh. I pray that if any two anime get another season, it would be Spice and Wolf or Working. Top 25 Worst Anime of Summer 2012: Spoiler 1. Gundam Age 2. Yuru Yuri 2 3. Hyouka was somewhat disappointing but definately not the worst.
Those list makers can go to hell for putting SAO on that list. And no, as far as I know Kokoro Connect doesnt go by any other names, but I'll look into that to make sure. In fact... I think that list has ALL the anime from that specific season...
Ah, I was mistaken, It's actually called [C] - Control. I read an article about a somewhat recent episode of SAO being a huge let down in Japan, so that's probably the cause. Again, these lists are biased as hell, hahaha.
YuruYuri was Great. I don't understand why no-one else likes all the stupid stuff I do. It makes me sad
@Auburn, ah that anime. That one isnt too bad, but Kokoro is better imo. Also, i started hanasaku iroha today. Might finish it too. Too bad most of what crunchyroll has is either romance or slice of life, but i can deal with it.
I never watched YuruYuri, it sounds too yuri. Iroha is the onsen anime, right? I think I had that on my list of anime to watch but never did actually watch it. Let me know if it's any good, man.
