You know what, it probably is just that. The unique pieces for that map. There's probably a menu called "Ravine" with its unique pieces as well, on Ravine of course. Although a part of me thinks it could still be lighting/effects specific for that map. Would be cool.
Besides which, that Impact (whatever it is) is in the list of structures. If it was a day/night setting or something I'd expect to see it in a different part of the menu.
It is, there is an entire category prefaced with "station" and there are 100 pieces in it. So there must be 100 unique pieces in each map. Still holding out overly optimistically for covie skins on the last map for no reason whatsoever.
Ah, just noticed the Rocket Hog near the start of the video. Glad to se it's back. I wonder if the gauss is still there and if it has been rebalanced? Probably as it has been in every game since Halo 2.
Man.. Are you sure about the no day/night setting? (If so isnt there special fx, or other lighting?) I mean, i knew about the weather effects, wich was kind of dissapointing too, but i hoped at least we could change the time of day. There are an lot of good things of halo 4,s forge, i got a lot of plans. But there are some dissapointing things too, such as this. I really hope the last enviroment is special, why they saved it for last. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Oh, and now we are talking about warthogs.. They should make an warthog, where many people could go in, like 4 in the back, An truck or somenthing? I have seen it in a halo game, but im not sure where anymore.
Wow. Better than I expected. Framerate issues are looking positively, object skins are different, some stuff looks vaguely realistic (sigh.. for now), and map-specific items are significant enough to make their own category This one looks good, guys
I'm pretty sure. I mean, I believe we still have FX (no confirmation for or against I think) so that is possible, and there really is no day/ night/ weather on an asteroid in space.
Thats understandable, I was more thinking of Ravine, as we dont know the third enviroment yet. But i do also believe that FX is still there. The name of the map in the pallete, is probally the name for all the unique pieces of that forge map. As ravine has its own unique pieces.
My only concern with dynamic lighting is that they really haven't shown the effects of multiple object merges and combined dynamic lighting. Everything they've showcased has been end to end more or less. If the shadows are generated from a physical light source on the map then I couldn't see many issues arising out of it, but if the lighting is object based combining objects intricately may not shadow them well and that may be where framerate issue will lay. Just a thought. I dunno if it has been confirmed one way or another yet.
Great point. I have a feeling this is where the FR issues will be, unfortunately. But, who knows? There could be no problems with it at all. It's gonna be fun merging items together to create interesting lighting/shadows.
Hahaha they are such liars... "No pre-built spaces in the game..." Now they are telling us they are including pre-built spaces. Also am I the only one excited about 'alive' objects? By that I mean moving objects that move in a set pattern and on their own. Also I would love to see an option to play certein sounds on our map such as a strong wind or waterfall sounds.
Maybe they meant no pre-built spaced in matchmaking? Maybe they meant no pre-built spaces in matchmaking?
