I suppose they could do a split bulletin. You, know have of it can be on one thing, and then the other have of it could be forge info. ...lol word usage.
I'd like to make it clear why I was frustrated with the thread. I am not frustrated because people have their own opinion of the game or that they dislike it based on what they have seen. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and who am I to say otherwise? I am not frustrated because people dislike Halo 4, as it is inevitable that they will. I also am not frustrated because people choose to express their opinion in this thread. That is also understandable, it's what the thread is intended for. I have left positive and negative opinions in the thread. What does frustrate me is the amount of posts there are about why people are unhappy about the game, and how many of these are from the same people. As Titmar and others have said, there is a certain amount of beating-the-dead-horse going on, and especially on the negative side. There is a lot of good discussion going on as well, but some of it has moved into the realm of repeated complaining. On the topic of the color discussion, I was a bit pissed that night and so seeing one more thing that was being brought up as "bad about the game" just pushed me over the edge. I was angry at the aforementioned beating-the-dead-horse/ negativity and connected that with the colors discussion, which off the bat appeared to be pulling up a rather unimportant point just to stomp it down. Reading over it I see that is not the case, and that it is a worthwhile discussion, so I would like to make it clear that it is the idea of looking for a reason to dislike the game I am frustrated with, and that while the color discussion was a bad one to make this point on, I believe it does exist in here and does not belong. In the end, it is pointless to say that of course because people will post whatever they feel. I am an example of that; I was angry about the thread and posted about it just as hundreds of posts have been made with people angry about the game itself. In all honesty, all I can do is wait for the game to just come out. Edit: And just for the hell of it, I like the pastels.
Aesthetically there are some parts that remind me of avalanche, but for the most part this has it's own feel. I think I heard that it is similar to Ice Fields? Regardless, it looks very good.
Hmm... very interesting listening to Frankie for 25 minutes about all things Halo. There is some especially interesting information here and there like what the 2 discs are for and how they work together and talk about the engine. Rencontre avec Frank O'Connor - Halo 4 - YouTube
He said 10 survivors and 2 infected does this mean no more 10 person player cap? [br][/br]Edited by merge: also, start screen in the background... not too shabby
Would someone be a doll and summarize what was revealed in said video? I don't feel like watching Frankie talk for 25 minutes, no matter how sexy his bald head is.
Halo 4 started out as just 9 people in October 2007 The engine is an improved Reach engine. Infection can be customized. The second disc is loaded onto your console once and then the rest of the experience is on disc one. You will always play with disc one, no disc swap outs. Halo 2 Remake is still being considered, but hasn't been started due to the challenge of it having its own dedicated multiplayer. A season pass is NOT required for multiplayer. The map packs for War Games are already in the works. 343i is still unsure as to whether more seasons of spartan ops will be made but the script has already been written.
That one was on purpose I would totally buy two copies of Halo 4 if it meant getting a Halo 2 remake with its own dedicated multiplayer.
Throw in the Reach forge mechanics with Halo 3 forge's FoV to that Halo 2 remake and we would never have to buy another halo again.
they better keep sword cancelling in it. no really, if they remake H2, there will probably be a bunch of minor changes that make everyone all pissed off.
