I'm probably a lot younger than most guys here, but I had older siblings, so I boated in on the late SNES/ early N64 generation.

These were essentially my very early childhood.

Everything Sonic Adventure 2. Good thing it comes out tomorrow, though I don't know if I'm going to like the controller layout on the 360.

    ^****ing lol^

Been playing the Metal Gear Solid HD pack. Have gotten 100% Snake Eater achievments and only 3 left in Sons of Liberty.

Some pretty epic nostalgia moments in there also a lot of easter eggs and secrets I never knew about before but all were in the original games.

Not liking Peace Walker though. The RPG elements really take me out of the story. I could deal with the motion comic style cut scenes but having to go to Mother base after every half step of story I take to assign character placements and what weapons and stuff to research and develop is just a pain in the ass and make me super upset that it will be included in Ground Zeroes.

My first game? That must have been ratchet and clank, up your arsenal. Man, i still love that game, and ratchet and clank. (Dr.nefarious = one of the best villians :p) My second game was on the xbox, halo 1. I was very young that time, but i really liked the game, but was stuck on the level 343 guilty spark sometimes :p
I also played awesome games on the gamecube, zelda mask of majora, mario kart double dash (best mario kart) james bond, nightfire :) And even medal of honor, that was also an amazing game, cant remember wich medal of honor though, still have it.
Oh and the old counter strike, it had awesome game modes such as Deathrun, prison etc.

Im going to make some maps in honor of these games, they were awesome.
Oh and the old counter strike, it had awesome game modes such as Deathrun, prison etc.

    My ideas :
Ratchet and clank - Dr.nefarious space station (the ring) for flood mode, with warthogs, would be cool if it worked out.
Zelda - Probally a remake of a town, cant really choose, i loved clock town though, but that town has already been done a few times.
Mario kart - If i ever make a race map then it would be... donkey kong,s mountain! Would be pretty impossible though, if you look at the size of that map. But with an enormous gravlift cannon as DK cannon, finding a mountain...
James bond - Got an minigame planned, i got the idea a tiny bit of james bond.

Is it just me or does anyone else really wish to play a "New" NES game? I think a throwback game would be the ****, even if it is on the newer generation consoles. Kinda like how megaman 9 and 10 did it.

Its just as if people get caught up with graphics, and all these gameplay mechanics. I just want something simple, but still good, like the original Legend of Zelda, or Earthbound.

Am I asking for too much?

    In reply to Equinox's post:
    1. Super Mario World 3(?)
    2. Yoshi's Island (<3)
    3. Paper Mario (never played it)
    4. Diddy Kong Racing
    5. Super Mario 64
    6. Super Smash Bros.
    7. Mario Kart 64
    8. Donkey Kong Country(?)
    9. Kirby game of some sort.
    10. Mario Party 3(?Possibly 1)
    11. Megaman something something.
Equinox's post really brought back some of the great memories that I had as a child. I spent quite a bit of time with most of those games but it was Mario Kart 64 that took up most of that time. I played the heck out of that game up until 2002 when I finally got a PS2, which then sparked my love for this game:

I've completed this game at least 50 times. If I still had it, that number would probably be a lot higher.

I was slightly dissapointed that the Snake vs Monkey mini game version of this was removed from the HD MGS3.

Almost every game in the xbox indie marketplace and many games on steam by indie game developers are these "call back" kind of games.

Omg thought I was the only person in the universe that has this game. Diddy kong racing is the only game i had i completely forgot about wow.

I remember been so scared to get this jinjo in banjoo kazooie because it was so high and dangerous i didn't want to fall that I had to get my mum to get it for me.

Also played the ton of this, Also sat there figuring out EVERY CHEAT CODE WITHOUT THE INTERNET (because couldn't waste prepaid dialup hours because thats how internet worked in my day) righting them down on piece of paper and pen and testing all possible (4 buttoned combos X [] O /\ ) to find the 23 actual cheats out of 256 combos!

heh you think not being able to use internet to look for cheats is bad? I still have a little note book somewhere that has a bunch of codes written down in it because that was how you saved your games before memory cards or internal hard drives.

You would beat a game up to a point and then die and it would give you a longish number that if you entered it in from the menu would take you to a point near where you died.

Biggest pain in the ass ever!

In primary school teacher had this game on the computer used code saves.
But we couldn't turn off the computer other wise we would lose the game(idk why, I was a kid and he obviously didn't know much about computers) and everyone in the class would beg me to finish a level they got stuck on and i was like "I can't I'm still doing my math D:"

Also I played games that didn't even have save files or codes! at all.(Probably a short game in hindsight but when i played it, there was a lot of FUUUUUUU moments)

If you ever beat this game you deserve a medal. My first N64 game, my last one to beat (10 years later in fact.) Loved every minute of it besides the original Donkey Kong part.

Banjo Kazooie and Zelda for the win as well.

You know you can download an emulator and damn near every single game for the NES onto your computer. I know because I have done so lol.
