I wonder if the classes are as open as they were in Borderlands 1. I loved the fact that I could be a sniper, in totally different play-styles, depending on whichever character I chose.
im sure you'll still be able to. zero looks like the only one who has skilled trees really focusing one specific weapon type.
Axton also favors rockets a bit, but it's nothing too significant. I've already got my builds set, but I may not play until a friend of mine is back in town. We'll see how it goes.
Yeah, I meant which tree I was going to invest enough points into to get to the bottom perk. After checking out the interactive skill tree on the Borderlands 2 site, I think I'm going to go with Survival until I get the bubble shield, then fill up Guerrilla to get rockets and the second attachment on the turret. Or maybe do the opposite by doing enough in Guerrilla to get rockets, then going all the way to the bottom of Survival to get two turrets... *sigh* It sucks that this game is so good that it has equally appealing trees...
Unfortunately I couldn't force myself to pre-order in person, so I did it over the internet. Now I have to wait until Wednesday or Thursday to play, but I suppose that's not too bad because I have time to finish philosophy homework now, as well as calc.
on amazon, i got the 2-day shipping option for like 4 bucks extra, and it says for preorders 2-day shipping will get it to you the day of release
I just finished buying Borderlands 2 for the second time. I now own it (with preorder bonuses, too!) on both Xbox and PC. **** THE PO-LICE!
I'm actually leaning toward the Bloodshed tree for Zero rather than sniping. Sniping seems to reward patience and standing still, but for me sniping in Borderlands is about being an agile mofo. Initially i wanted to go for that stacking crit hit, but i think i'm going to see how effective 'many must fall' is, moving from kill to kill with repeating decoys.
May have not seen me in this thread before, but this is the Borderlands 2 launch trailer, released today! Borderlands 2 Launch Trailer [HD] - YouTube Enjoy
This might not be ideal for most of you, but this is what I'm gonna run probably. I have a full team and this best benefits them as well as my play style.
id probably take a total of 3 points that you put into sustenance and/or backdraft, and use them in the motion skill tree so you can get converge. from what ive seen, it looks extremely useful, even more so when working with a full team. edit: oh you just changed it as i posted this
I realized that I had made some poor choices when I went back and looked at them again. I was rushing out of excitement when they first put it up.
Argh. Should I get this game? I had no clue that it's coming out tomorrow, but the first one was a pretty bad experience for me because I got it like 2 weeks after my friends did and after enduring them going, "cmon, get it! Get it!" for the longest time, I cave in and they were done with the game, leaving me with no one to play with.
Get it, play it, bring friends. If you buy it and don't actually enjoy the game, I'll pay you $20 to make up the full refund after a trade-in.
Dat siren fist-bump It's too bad I have class at 8:30am tomorrow, else I'd go to the midnight release and play it like mad until the wee hours of the morning.
My gamestop doesnt do midnight releases any more... So i have to wait until 10 am tomorrow to play BL2 =(
