First have a look at this. Burnout 3: Tourist Trap - 1,840,924 - YouTube Okay so what I was thinking was can you make this on Halo? I was thinking that example if you touch a car (or in this case crash) then you earn a point. It would be fun trying to ram/crash into all of the cars. There would be a time limit of bout' 20-10 seconds. Just depends on is there a run up or ramp etc. Obivously the cars wouldn't be moving, unless you spawned a man-cannon at the start to move them. I feel like there's somnething missing, something wrong but I can't nail it. Would there be any problems AND is this possible? EDIT: Replace car with any land-vehicle in Reach
It may be possible if you make it a race/rally or something like that, and added checkpoints at each of the cars you needed to crash. Not sure, as I've never made a race/rally map. You can use mancannons to propel your car and other cars, and you may be able to use the teleporter look stuff to make an infinite supply of vehicles to crash into, if you take a look at Speed by Darth Human: Speed by Darth Human Or Avalanche or by Darth Human too: Avalanche by Darth Human which both use those loops of teleporters. Maybe some other people will have some better ideas. Oh yeah, incorporate a lot of landmines in there.
No, I don't mean a rally I mean what's in the video. And I want the cars moving like in the video. Not just being flung around.
Then I dunno how to make the cars move around. I still suggest mancannons, and it probably the only way to move cars (other than someone driving them), and that's all I can say, I suggest asking Darth Human, though, as he seems to be (extremely) good at making minigames in Halo. OR you can have a bunch of people drive the cars, but that idea's pretty stupid.
Just place a bunch of vehicles and explosives around, label each vehicle as an insane gametype (Haloball_Object or whatever it is) and label the vehicle you drive as the goal. Make sure to give everything shape. That's all I can think of.
Check out petetheduck on YouTube (petetehduck). He's extremely inventive at coming up with simple mechanisms for the Insane gametype. Just check out the Forge with Pete section. You can also check out Nutduster's Hog Launch. It's somewhat similar to Crash in Burnout, and you can combine this with the knowledge you'll gain from petetheduck's videos.
Burnout-Probably one of the most horrible games (next to GTA) ever made. Lol I was playing this on my old PS3 and my grandparents were watching, and asked me why I was running into other vehicles and killing people for points.
