So I tried to get on my Xbox today, but for some odd reason it won't "turn on". I use quotes because when I turn it on it lights up on the power button and on my controller, but it doesn't start up and take me to my dashboard. My cousin probably has no idea how to fix this, so I'm coming here for a little help. I unplugged all my wires and made sure they were in the right place, so that's why I think this is a little peculiar. Extra information: This past Monday we had cleaning girls come over and clean the house. I think they're responsible for this happening. If anyone experienced the same thing happening to their console and knows how to fix it, please let me know here. Thank you <3
This actually happened to me once (I think so anyway). My friend and I messed with it for a while, but in the end he just asked me if he could smack the power brick around a bit. I said 'yes' (with some hate to microsoft) and he kicked it once. Then it worked. So fly my friend to your house so he can magic kick your brick. I wish I was joking.
AV2 is the one that Xbox starts up on for me. As for HDMI, I'm not a tech nerd, so I have no idea what that is :/
If your TV is not fat and you are not using HDMI (which I thought it was common knowledge to know), then you are seriously missing a huge graphical difference. At least check if your AV cables are secured properly.
Well ****, I just found out the problem. One of the wires in the back was half out. That's my fault, I even tried kicking the brick like Audience told me too. Problem solved, request for lock.
You really are truly an idiot, aren't you? Did you even read the whole thread, or did you just see the suggestion and think "Oh, that would probably work in one scenario, therefore it must always work"?
