I think you saw a 4v4 map a long time ago. That's because this map came from that layout being chopped up & sized down.
I think it sucks that all tourney maps are being featured...again, but whatever. Congrats on the feature.
A 2x2 pillar is very small and requires you to be on your toes to effectively abuse. That little jump can make all the difference, since you can't back pedal when in mid-air. That plus the other solutions makes it not abusable; I'm willing to prove that to you in game too. Don'tcha worry, I'm not repeating myself. I wasn't the one who stated it in the past, and this clarification is very helpful. Don't misinterpret what I said though, because I mean what I said. If we did not feel that each and every map was deserving, then none of them would be featured.
Challenge... Not accepted. You are right. I am wrong. The little jump keeps it from being abusable. It still would have been much easier to simply avoid any 2x2 (or 1x1) unit pillars. It's not hard to do. Yeah, I get that part. One thing I definitely like about this map, amongst several other things, is that you can engage your opponent long range, i.e. out of range of the radar. What a concept!
I agree %100. I wish I would have thought about it more. This map has been in its exact same state for quite a while now. Lol, thanks!
All the maps are built and selected because they promote varied styles of play. Some focus on sniper/dmr skills, others are about closer combat. Some require precise weapon timing and others not so much. There are asymms and symms, tall maps and short maps, teleporters and no teleporters. Our goal is to have the player who can play the most varied styles of halo win. So if this map or the next isnt your cup of tea hopefully something down the road will be.
I do not understand what any of you are talking about with this 'radar abuse' Can someone please clarify?
Honestly dude... you do not want to know what these guys are talking about -_- bitchin' bitches just keep on bitchin'.
