A Bridge too Far

    'FLAGS' on 'A BRIDGE TOO FAR'

    This map is competitive/casual CTF map built in the sky of Forgeworld. Gameplay focuses heavily on the use of vehicles, leading to some interesting and fun gameplay. The map is thin and symmetrical ensuring that collisions are common and a certified strategy in winning the game, despite alternative routes for getting too and from your base. On the way there will be obstacles and jumps that you will need to pass to retrieve the enemy flag.

    Both teams are given 4 mongooses and 2 warthogs, meaning that all 8 players (if played with a full lobby) will have a means of transportation. There are NO weapons on map (gunner positions blocks) and players are only given energy swords, as the gametype is very similar to Castle Wars. Swords are in no way underpowered and are often successful in defending against incoming vehicle onslaughts.

    Though only successful 80% of the time, this route cuts out much of the risk of being attacked while carrying the flag.

    Here is a overview of one of the bases. Warthogs spawn at the back, mongooses inside at the bottom. Flag is on top of the base with ramps at the front and back.

    I don't really know what to say about the map, but I do know of a race map called "A Bridge Too Far" that someone posted on youtube. IDK if it's on forgehub, but if it is, you may want to change the name.

    The reason I've seen why these maps don't work is because there is only one route going between the whole map. One route. All good BTB maps have multiple routes going in and out of areas. This is just a big bridge with one straight route. This will lead to two things.

    1-Camping

    2-Horrible Horrible driving circuit.

    This video should help you with driving circuits. You'll see there are multiple routes going in and out of areas.

    Yeah, I just made that mistake the other day. There are generally exceptions to these kinds of rules. Although, in this case, I don't think his circuit (If you could call it that) would work.

    @map I see some unnecessary jumps in the map needed to cross from side to side on vehicle. Those will probably lead to flipping and annoyed people. You might want to get rid of those and just replace it with flat ground.

    I see way to many maps like this and they dont work out because there is only one way to go and nothing ever gets done
