I'm not sure what to do. Should I become a vampire lord? The only reason I want it is to have those red eyes. The whole thing seems OP. That and the fact that you can't do anything while in form turns me off. The light thing is also annoying.

Personally I can't stand being a vampire for long. Not being able to fight during the day is just annoying, though the trade off is that you get to be OP in every way at night. I'm just going to do it for the achievement and then go back a save.

It's going to be 400 ms points so definitely not a large expansion like dawnguard (not that I even consider dawnguard as a "large" expansion). Building a house will certainly be neat, it was about time. Having to pay for houses that lacked things like Armor statues or weapon holders was annoying

@Sam I thought you were trolling me on that one... Until I realized it was actually from Bethesda. Cool beans. There are probably limits on how big you can build your house, though.. :(

Just throwing out a question: What difficulty do you play on?

I don't know what level you have to be, but I've already killed two at Dawnstar in about a week (in game). So, that may or may not be random. I'd give it a shot.
I'm 81, so I couldn't tell you how accurate that level 78 thing is.

    P.S. I'm stoked for Hearthfire.
I'm gonna have to go with Sky.

I guess I was right about the name... Glad to see some minute overhaul adjustments to the game at such a reasonable price.

I wonder what the limit on home-size is.

I hope we could create a lot of little houses in one area. Sort of as our own settlement. I had dreamed of that since Oblivion.

My ideal videogame is a elder scrolls themed balance of micromanagement and first person combat on a much larger scale. Like you start with a small house on a hill, and slowly upgrade and draw people to your settlement while defending it in first person commander style. But unlike elder scrolls an "army" would consist be more like in the hundreds than the tens. But I will probably have to wait for the next wave of consoles for that...

Also, this expansion feels more like Bethesda's trying to bring the joy of the PC modding community to consoles. There are mods on the Steam Workshop that can do everything in this expansion, only they're free. I personally don't really see a point in buying this expansion on the PC, but it'd be great for consoles. Especially with that $5 price point.

In other news, PS3 owners are still mad that they don't have Dawnguard yet and now Bethesda's announcing another new DLC before they even get their first one. Apparently Skyrim isn't nearly as stable on the PS3 as it is on Xbox or PC. This leads me to believe that, because of Skyrim also not being available on mac, the in-house modifications to the Gamebryo engine that Bethesda made for Skyrim were either partially, or wholly, coded in C#. Thus meaning that they have to redo most of the code just for the PS3 while it'd work perfectly on Windows and Xbox.

My point wasn't that something like that existed on PC, it was that he wouldn't have to wait for a new generation of console.

Not to mention I don't have a desktop and my laptop wouldn't be able to handle that kind of game unless I played on **** resolution...

they said a long time ago that they were going to take the best mods from the community and officially develop them...

Actually there is a mod on skyrimnexus.com called Real Time Settler Skyrim that does exactly what stouf wants.
