As an atheist, I'm not really interested in either. Surprisingly enough, I'm more interested in what people actually believe in more than an atheist's philosophies usually. There are only so many reasons a person can be an atheist it seems. It usually involves them being raised in a religious family and then rebelling with points such as logic, science or what have you. Then you have atheists like me who did not grow up in a religious family at all. Whereas "believers" have these stories which are like fantasies or epics. (No offense to those who do believe).
Out of curiosity, do you mean scientist in the professional sense? I know that's rather subjective but basically what I'm saying is, do you get paid to perform scientific research? This is completely unrelated to the who religion thing, I'm actually just curious, not criticizing or anything. Regardless, which types of sciences interest you most? (Just to get off the whole religion topic before things get ugly).
I just believe whoever won the facebook argument. Then again, my opinions can be swayed by superimposed text over someone's face.
I'm certain that if the PPC regulars debated religion here, it'd actually go over smoothly. Instead of, you know, the pseudo-intellectuals that talk out of their ass, speak in circles, then claim the person telling they're speaking in circles is also using circular logic, without showing how, that pop in here just to stir **** every once in a while.
I'm sure they'll point themselves out in one manner or another at some point. We should make a game out of it, just reply to that post with my quote.
