Linda... there is an easter egg in Halo CEA for her... this campaign is definatley going to be intersting.
Totally agree. It makes it even worse that these fundamentals are moving towards almost every other AAA shooter out there...
It's a problem with the gaming industry just like it is for mainstream Hollywood. Too much money is at stake for companies to risk standing alone in any major respect. Innovating, or even just staying in your own proven lane, is the inferior choice to copying the moves that made millions for one of your competitors.
I don't remember if anything happened to Linda or not but I think (if memory serves me correctly) that dr.halsey leaves chief and his group taking Linda with her maybe she will end up on requiem and be your partner... Idk though just a theory based off of incomplete memories.
Well, they're not explicitly dead, but Jorge handed off his dog-tags and is permanently trapped in slipspace, and Jun was with Halsey on the way to Castle base, but didn't complete the trip. He wasn't present the following day when Halsey arrived. So they could potentially be revived for a future title, but it would be a stretch. At least for Jorge. Jun would just need a basic "had to jump out and misdirect some baddies" story, along with an additional means of transportation. Or an identity swap. And yeah - I can't imagine Jorge coming back after all that bromance on the Ardent Prayer.
Gee I don't know...maybe it's because the thing was on a timer and by the time he found it was fried the marines were already gone.
I've heard that before quite a few times, but I can't actually find a direct reference. Just forum posts. Anybody have a link or anything? Edit: anybody have a copy of the journal? I can't even find a transcript of that portion of it. Best I can do its a youtube video of some dude flipping the pages, but it's not really readable.
Yup... I'd like to see another "community mod/indie game that gains enough momentum" story again, right about now. Preferably some shooter. A different one. As for the movie industry, I imagine that it's going to be a far harder time for something to change there. I think gaming has a bigger chance, as proven with Minecraft, for a small project to gain steam (maybe even using Steam, to play on words) through word of mouth and incite something new. Or we could hope that Bungie is doing something along those lines. I mean, they might be doing something unique...I hope... As for Halo, it looks like it's fallen in that trap. I imagine it to end up like these new Batman movies: Great movies, but do we really need more superhero movies?
hollywood thinks so else they would not be planning to reboot batman again to copy what Marvel did with The Avengers. This is why I think Bungie had it right back when they did 3. They meant for that to be an end of Halo. It may not have been the end of the franchise but it was certainly the end of the core style of Halo.
Yeah... It was the end of core Halo. I'm still getting this one, mostly to give 343 some support starting up, and to give this game a shot. I'm realizing that if I approach this as a totally not-Halo game, I'll probably end up enjoying it. I still need a good replacement for core Halo. Too bad there's not a modern game like it...so I play Halo 3 again :/. My trueskill was awful back then; I'm pickup up my Lone Wolves skill to something respectable while I wait for a replacement.
why use that here? just why? to the conversation on the previous page, linda and all of the other spartans from previous generations were offered integration into the spartan IV program. i can only assume they accepted, why wouldnt they?
you know, I was just thinking, would grenade explosions have dynamic lighting as well? i.e. creating shadows when it goes off.
