Oscx3 is an FM synth? I haven't used it in FL Studio really but I think it's just a subtractive synth. FM synths typically have more harmonic content (or at least is achieved easier) than in subtractive synthesis. There's a lot more to Operator than you might think though. Not only is it the hardest type of synthesis to master (in my opinion -- which by no means am I saying I am a "master"). The routing can get pretty complicated and the fact that you can draw out your own waveforms is really cool. It's one of my "go to" synths when I'm lacking inspiration. I'm not that into dubstep so I can't really comment on your work in progress. I think if you're satisfied with that, you should bounce it to audio and continue resampling. Making that commitment going from midi to audio really saves you time.
