I'm gonna stop them right there. That bugs me.

While all of them seem to me to have some amount of bullshit (save Pioneer, have fun with your near meaningless rank), Operator and Stalker strike me as having the most amount of bullshit.

Also, the only helmets that strike me as remotely interesting are Operator, which I kinda like, and Rouge. The others have detail, but I've found that with sci-fi helmets, on top of visors being a Halo staple until now, they tend to give the helmet character. Nothing on the other helmets really strikes me as interesting.

So...has anyone heard of a good arena shooter recently that isn't Quake or a Quake clone? I tried Nexuiz, but eh...

In my eyes, this looks bad. Not as much as those leaks way back, but getting close.

I don't give a **** what implications these new specializations will have for MM- I'm just excited that this essentially makes my idea for creating a TF2-based game-type feasible. Can't wait.

Again with the dumb helmets! Although, one of those looks like what those InvisiBrute bastards wore in H3. And as of right now, I don't like the sound of these Specializations, even though I've already paid off my LE H4. I feel like, if I have all those unlocked right from the beginning it will take away from the fun of unlocking them. Hmmm, perhaps I'll sell my code on Ebay for... one million dollars!

The only real concern I have is with the Rouge class. Being able to stay zoomed in while being shot sounds totally unfair.

but if you are using a sniper weapon, the turnaround speed while zoomed will probably kill you

I think you might be thinking of something else, I'm pretty sure the specialization allows you to not flinch when getting shot. As in, your sights don't bounce around when you take bullets.

I had never heard the term prior to that movie, and I actually had to look it up to be sure what the original meaning was. It's not the most common word.

It was already was unbalanced what with Tactical Packages and Armour Abilities. In fact, i'd have been pretty happy if these had replaced Armour Abilities. The specializations they showed barely conferred benefits in the same way faster regenerating shields or being able to see through walls do.

...it was the name of a Call of Duty 4 map, a film, and is commonly used in films, t.v, e.c.t.

So you choose said path before or after getting to lvl 50 ( or other top lvl #)?

I could rest easy in the classic playlists, population 300. Unless 343 does something to change that, which I sure hope they do...

I have a feeling the attention to the classic playlists is going to have a direct correlation with my online playtime. I'll try the new stuff but...

I already have class-based shooters to play.

And Sash, I'm 99% sure it's after you hit 50.

****.... I'm rethinking getting this game now. I just don't know if it's worth it anymore.

Im getting it because I am actually liking a lot of what 343 is doing. Its not Bungie anymore guys, you can't play the same game reskinned for ever (unless its COD), things need to change. Halo 1, 2 and 3 were good in their own ways so now we need a new direction for this new trilogy. As long as the core gameplay stays the same, Im gonna take it with a grain of salt, and it will most likely end up being good.

I would much rather have a Halo game without AA, loadouts, or specialisations, packages, ordnance drops, etc.... but I guess Halo 4 will be fine. I haven't bought any other games all year, so I'll get it. I just hope that it can attract the same sort of online community that Halo 2/3 had, making machinimas, building maps, hosting customs, etc.

Upon rereading the article... It doesn't seem that bad. I'm still up in the air about whether or not I want the game though. Call me old school, but I prefer the simplistic nature of Halo. All these new perks and AAs and loadouts just turn me off... Too many variables that muddy the waters of what made Halo enjoyable to me.

I definitely feel you on that man. I remember somebody mentioning "opening up the gameplay options" as in letting us tweak every setting, and I hope we get something close to that so we can set up a true "classic" custom.

From the description, the Stalker specialisation sounds somewhat OP'd:

"a passive skill that... pops up on the HUD an icon of the last person that killed you (and) also tracks enemies who've attacked but not killed you as well"

No I think that just means they'll be a different color. You'll still only see them when they're within 25 meters (or whatever the range is default), I think it's more of a personal thing. Like you'll know if that's the guy who last killed you, so it'll make you want to really kill him.

Edit: never mind, it says HUD, I thought it said radar for some reason...idk what to think now.

If it was radar specific, it would actually be okay with me. But no, must appeal to **** of Poopy :(
