xbox servers are being discussed Found this and it says from what I found interesting: -minecraft xbox 360 edition will travel from 1.7.3 to 1.8.2 straight to 2.5 -what really got me interested is "a open server program is being discussed" That however is not confirmed but it would be great to have a server system.especially if you only had to pay once not like a monthly thing. I think I would start my own eventually. a little bit more info What I pulled from this -mojang is looking at getting texture packs possibly after the 1.2.5 update. -they are looking at some kind of skin custom user for the 360 but it "gets lawyers excited" so it seems there is some kind of legal issue with that? -they are thinking of something that "keeps players from affecting your world"(anti griefing stuffs)
That is awesome, thanks man. Yeah, I was looking at their twitter a while ago and it did way they were considering texture packs after the 1.8.2 patch. I think a good way to let users customize their skins would be give them a bunch of options for the head, body, legs, etc. That would be fine legally. And I heard the anti-griefing things would be settings like -Host is only allowed to edit blocks -Friends are allowed to edit blocks -Friends of Friends are allowed to edit blocks And you get to tick off all to options you want.
As for 1.8 I have watched many vids and they all give the link to the same article of things released. Creative mode New biomes and landscape generation Food Sprint Xp Silverfish Enderman Cave spiders Stone bricks(yay) Stone brick stairs and half slab New fighting mechanics And I believe there was a bit more. I would link the article but because I am on my iPod I could not click the link in the description of the videos. So what are you going to do in creative mode? As for me I am going to start my community world again.(or worlds I should say. I will build a grand city and each will act as a community server...except one will have creative mode and one will not(except for initial construction)
Since Microsoft is pretty adamant about censoring, I can only imagine the pains in filtering out obscene content in a custom skin creator for minecraft. Whose lawyers in particular they're talking about I dunno though.
My friend's got a tekkit server up. Protip: Don't let sharp near the nuclear reactor. He doesn't get it, probably. Also, our quarries keep picking up RM Furnaces, can anyone explain that?
Do you guys think it would be possible to start a world in Creative mode and then switch to survival mode? I wanted to restart my community world and make it much more grande...
yeah you can. as op you just type "/gamemode [playername] 0" to switch people between modes (i think they scrambled up the order of the words in 1.3 but that may have just been in the one snapshot) oh ****, i replied to the previous page, my bad /slowpoke
So when the the 360 version gets creative mode, do you think it'll be able to do the same? Maybe it'll show up on the difficulty slider...

@PINOHKIO Shut up. I have not gone near the nuclear reactor for that reason. I like tekkit. i think it adds some awesome stuff to the game, however i can be bothered to do all that stuff. i have an arrangement to make our server pretty as everyone else does tekkit. Also on the thread merge thing.... kinda a bad idea at this point.
