Haha. Would seem obvious, but it was not a forgone conclusion in my mind. I will always vote for the map that I feel is the best. If one of my other recently released maps had been nominated instead of Strife, I most definitely would not have voted for my own map. In this case, it's difficult for me to objectively look at Strife and say whether it's clearly better or worse than the other nominated maps. It's really a tough call. I just know I'd be a little disappointed if Strife missed the cut by one vote because I didn't vote for it.

Just because you did that, I voted for mine just now.

It's all good. Though I don't really have any interest in mini games, your map/gametype is very cool. I would not be at all surprised or disappointed to see it make the cut ahead of Strife. I don't look at this voting process at all like a competition. Don't care who gets the most or the least votes. Just want to see some good maps get recognition.

Yeah it was just a joke. There arent too many mini game fans around here so I honestly doubt I'll place.

I would never vote for my own map, ever.

I voted for Strife, by the way, so good luck to you.

Really? I actually wish there was a rule against voting for your own map.
Anyway, I appreciate the vote. I really hope Memento makes it through. Love that map.

In my opinion it's not only pretentious to vote for your own map, but it's also biased.

No offense, Chunk. I'm not even worried about it, or bothered, just surprised is all. Thanks for the support, I'm glad you like Memento so much.

Come on guys, busting some one's balls for voting for his own map? Its what I'd expect just about any one to do if they were in the same place. A select few may actually vote for some one else map, but that's a rarity.

Words I never thought I'd type...
I'm with Schnitzel on this one.

Give most people the ability to vote for themselves, and they will.
I think the only reason I didn't when mine was up was because I genuinely loved the entry I voted for. :)

I have never voted for my map... I hope I'm not the only one...

I am not trying to bust Chunk's balls. Like I said, I'm just surprised people do that, that's all.

I was honestly planning not to, but since chunk did, I did. I would hate to lose by one vote.

I'm just stoked to be a nominee for once.
I honestly didn't realize that I could have voted for myself, but even if I did, Memento would still have it's vote.
I don't feel that voting for yourself is that bad. I'd just feel a bit shady had I done it.

I'm a bit surprised my admission to voting for my own map has turned into a topic of discussion.
No worries Noooooch. I totally get where you're coming from. It feels strange to vote for my own map. Like I said, I kind of wish it was against the rules to do so.
I'm just always going to vote for the map I feel is best, whether it's one built by me or by someone else.
In this particular case, perhaps I would have been better off abstaining from voting, since I'm not completely decided on which map is the best. No going back now, though.

Imagine if Presidential candidates had to vote for someone besides themselves, lol.
That would actually be pretty interesting. Totally different situation, though, but that thought just popped into my head.
