Whoever did the shaders on that did a crappy job. But then again, it probably is still going to change in appearance, but that's strange due to the fact that we are already closing in on release date.
At the beginning he was holding the shotgun with one hand.probaly because he was performing a in game action but that and the melee animation at the end look like they could make some nice poses for screenshots.
Oh my puke. Did you see how long it took for the texture to fully load on his trigger arm? Maybe that's how the fixed the framerate, but ew. I hate that kinda stuff in games nowadays.
I specifically remember 343 (don't remember where) releasing info saying that the heisted pack can go in ALL directions.idk about you guys but to me all includes up.
I think that might actually be the jetpack. It doesn't have the trails the thruster has had in other videos. Part II: 343 Industries vs Community - Halo 4 Gameplay at Comic-Con - YouTube
Same. Although I can't help but wonder how we will control the Thruster Pack, in terms of the direction of movement? I would have thought similarly to Evade in Reach, but adding vertical thrust would probably mean that the player would have to stand still, impeding flow. That or it's tap to boost in the direction you're moving, hold for vertical thrust.
Wouldn't it make more sense to thrust up if you jumped? The impression I got was that the thruster just gave you a kick in whatever direction you were trying to move. I wonder if downward thrusting is going to be a feature. Might sound silly, but it could be handy for getting your head down fast, making big jumps less dangerous.
I'm pretty sure that "in all directions" is in the same terms as is true of Evade, ie. any horizontal direction. I could be wrong, but I've never seen it being used upwards (aside from the above clip, if it is in fact a Thruster), and also that guy didn't look like he was moving fast enough for a Thruster.
I don't find it surprising after they turned shot lag into bloom. They're just trying to cover up the lag because they can't circumvent it. Personally I appreciate their efforts. Makes it a little less frustrating to play when there's an explanation for the shenanigans that fits within the game's logic. I mean, if half of my opponents are going to be zipping around at lightspeed dodging bullets, at least I have the option to try to do so as well now lol
hahah i never thought of it like that. either way, even if logical, it's still hilarious. and in that video, it looked like he may have just jumped and thruster packed forward. It doesnt matter too much though, considering we know for sure there is jetpack in the game.
I couldn't find the video but I'm almost positive I've seen it used upwards and I definitely have seen it as well as confirmed in conversation with 343 that it can be used downward for cool assassinations. I can't see them making thruster and jetpack the same color and we've seen jetpack be blue already. I think what happened was he was beginning his boost just as shotty guy killed him.
