Bulkhead

    Bulkhead

    Since fatal error in realizing that a map that consisted onlyin the Refinery of Boneyard already existed, I decided to pull out a similar map that I've had laying around that has never gotten used. It bigger, and a bit more open. This is Bulkheads

    Bulkheads uses the area of Boneyard that is right in the center, the place with the big red generators, and that whole hunk of metal with the platforms and outside catwalks. Lets take a look

    this is where red team spawns and just a neat area to be. Theres some decent cover, and a teleporter to blue side

    a little to the left is the entrance to the huge generator room. There are vehicles for cover. If you use with paintball (the gametype this is meant for) you cannot drive any vehicles. They simply block the longer lines of sight.

    From the generator room looking back near red side at a teleporter. This teleporter leads you to the above catwalk that is not normally accessed in the game.

    this is that catwalk. There is some cover around the corner if you keep walking from the screenshot and can be accessed via grav lift behind the screenshot as shown below

    This room is a good room to spawn. There is a tiny room through that door where there are shield walls all around lol its shiny. the grav lift takes you up to the secret catwalk from earlier

    This is the long hall on the refinery-associated side of the map. It is blocked off and theres a shield door in the middle so you cant snipe all the way across the hall

    Blue spawns at the top of the staircase. at the bottom, is teh teleporter going back to red side. You cannot escape the map on the ground. You die upon landing.




    Is required to play with Paintball
    if you use a different gametype, remember to disable vehicle use, or make it so that they dont appear in the game, because there is a tank used for cover.

    I think this map has pretty much been made before under the same name.

    Really. Three maps now have been made here and two the same name. The third map is my one Mineral. The Preview is in the forge discussion. Also mine is for the smackdown contest. *sigh*

    Haha, gutted... Try doing some research before forging/naming a map. I feel your pain though, two maps have been released since I started work on my Invasion map named Plateau :( I should get that released.

    Refinery is a pretty generic name, I don't see why people make such a fuss over naming maps after each other.

    haha wow that sucks. This map doesss feature a teleporter door by where you plant the coil in invasion or whatever that is called that leads to an upstairs room as well as some minor cover areas. I think this map plays good for paintball. anyway sorry guys

    Wow that really sucks.i had an experience like this once.i did a co-forge and the guy I was with said "I have taken inspiration from this map(forgot the name)"
    And I was like oh...ok.so I thought we were doing something original.then someone let's me know that what he had done on the map was a little more than "taking inspiration"
    To say the least I was pissed.
    I changed a ****-ton of it now and now I (I guess he lost interest in it) have a original MLG 2v2 map to work on(still working on frame rate drops...

    whole thread has been updated with a new map used in Boneyard. It uses the center generator room area.

    Now this I have not seen. How many players do you recommend playing with? I might play a couple of games on it.

    I tried building in that middle area once. Frustratingly narrow. I'll have a look at your version. Just a heads up - shield doors in the middle of hallways is a bad idea. Super campable.

    Well the map is suited for paintball which is one-shot-one-kill. You can play this with other gametypes but if you have a gametype with jetpacks, someone will probably try to escape


    Oh and the map should fit about 8 people. this can be 8 man FFA or 4v4. I did make a full 16 initial spawns but 16 people would be a mad house. I say 8 max

    Where have I seen this map name before. I cant remember, but there was a map with the same exact name.

    just searched forgehub and all the map variants on Boneyard in Reach File Browser. nothing else was found

    You really have to start taking more care of your threads. The canvas map is not "Forgeworld". And the count of players is not "1 (min) - 1 (max)". You made the same mistake with your map Darkest Hour: Beaches of Normandy. If you keep reserving these important details from potential downloaders then don't post your maps.

    The canvas map says "Boneyard" so idk what your smoking. I changed the min-max players though. shouldnt have more than 8 people but you can have a full 16 thatd be crazy! and no need to be a **** about it its no big deal
