Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Official Full-length Trailer (Official live action Machinima Prime series) - YouTube Has anyone got any idea what this is actually going to be? I'm guessing like a few 10 minute episodes and such, but damn... I always wanted there to be a Halo film. It would be intense if they made like 4 hours of footage and stuff
Aww, I saw this on Youtube not too long ago. But I believe that it would be 15 Minute Episodes released once a week until Halo 4 comes out. When I pre-ordered my Limited Edition, I believe that this mini-series would be included in it and would contain about 90 Minutes worth. So this mini-series would be about 1 hour and 30 minutes altogether. 10.5.12? So, I guess October 5, I wish it was this summer though.
Same, I'm extremely excited about this. More excited about this than the game tbh. I've always wanted a halo movie since watching that initial movie intro that one time, and then seeing the cutscenes in halo wars... What do you mean this is included in your legendary edition game? Doyle have to pay to watch the episodes?
I don't believe people have to pay to watch the episodes. Rather, buying the Limited Edition of the game entitles you to a special, extended cut of the show. Not sure if you get a slightly longer version of each episode, or if you get access to a single, 90 minute video edited together from the various episodes.

That's actually awesome. I'm definitely getting LE now. I've been waiting so long for something like this and I'm that excited I could easily say this is going to be the best film I'll watch all year!
Agreed. I honestly believe that the Limited Edition for Halo 4 is worth it. With all the bonus content, I feel very satisfied. Just imagine it also came with a statue! I honestly never heard that before. But then again, I haven't really been following the Web Series. I wonder, why 50 minutes? Why did they not make it an hour each episode? 90/15 = 6 Episodes in 6 Weeks. October 5th to November 6th is only about 4 Weeks? So the 50-60 Minutes might be possible! Correct me if I'm wrong on anything, I'm dead tired and can barely see my screen. Lulz
I just wish the LE came with a DVD copy, or at least let you download it. AFAIK, it's only going to be available streaming on Waypoint. Oh well.
lol... It's going to be extremely difficult to do, as about 5 minutes of uncompressed HD equals around 60GB. I'm probably going to need to format my PC again... It's a shame they won't be providing download links or external format. I'd prefer to watch it on my PC rather than through my xbox :|
Chief looks like he's wearing a homemade halloween costume. Lol definitely a low budget production. But whatever, ill still check it out.
its basicaly like what the first guy said, its a 15 minute episode every week and then at the end it basicaly builds up a film sorta thing. and i didnt know you got it with pre order of Halo 4, im guessing thats with limited edition, will it be a seperate disc??
lol, no. It looks a lot more grey than green though. So I'm quite surprised at that... but I'd say it definitely looks quite high budget with the current CGI animations they've done (like with the covenant/ODST drop pods coming through the stormy sky)...
The effects are good yeah, but it just doesn't look like the actors or producers put their hearts into it. Looks like more of 343 experiment in seeing if there's interest in that kinda stuff. I don't know, it just looks the film has a certain cheese factor to it. Ha ha. Don't get me wrong I've always wanted a Halo movie to come out so I am still excited.
YEAH I want the limited edition. With the full forward unto dawn movie, 1st day access to 6 specializations, and I sound like an advertisement!
Wow. I saw the trailer both on Youtube and Halo Waypoint. I cannot wait to actually watch an official Halo series. I think that if Forward Unto Dawn is successful enough, 343 Industries may actually push forward with a movie, like a theatre movie, as I don't count Halo Legends. I can't wait for October!
Forward Unto Dawn Discussion I know some discussion about it has already taken place in the regular Halo 4 discussion thread but I figured why not split that discussion out into a more focused thread. In this thread you can share your opinions about each episode, good or bad. Did you like certain parts? Did you hate it? Have any predictions for what will come next? Anything you can think of that relates to the Forward Unto Dawn series talk about it here. I'll also try to update this post with each episode in the series as it appears on Friday on Machinima Prime on Youtube.
