I do hope they'll keep him being a constant motor mouth whenever he's in a fight against someone, even the ones who don't talk back. Doubt he'll be talking to the Lizard though seeing as it looks like they'll be making it all serious.
I'm pretty keen for it. It's getting mixed reviews but I don't care, I'm still excited. Going to the midnight screening tomorrow. I'm excited for people to begin to push Tobey as Spidey out of their minds. While I've seen them plenty of times, I never thought much of Raimi's Spider-Man movies. 2 is put on such a pedestal, in my mind it's very overrated.
Yo. I rewatched 2 and then subsequently some of the others not too long ago. I'd forgotten how... goofy they all are. I guess that's Raimi's style or whatever but it's just so awkward so often in those movies. They're good, don't get me wrong and a great precursor for all CBMs that follwed but they're commended a little too much. Any movie that isn't oscar bait gets mixed reviews. IMO, if it averages in the 60s and up on metacritic it's worth seeing.
Meh, it was interesting. I don't regret watching it, but I would never watch it again. My main complaints are more about X-men lore rather than the movie itself.
it's an awesome movie, i was just using it as an example of a high RT score for something that isnt oscar bait. EDIT: oh you said metacritic. metacritic sucks.
**** previous film continuity, those don't exist to me anymore. Seriously though, **** Tobey Maguire ('s Spider-Man portrayal).
It's not about that. It's just... the mutations were so dumb. They make absolutely no sense at all. I can suspend my disbelief for spiderman or the hulk or whatever, but to try and believe that people are naturally born with wings and the ability to shoot fireballs out of their mouth just makes me mad.
