[BETA] Hollow B24 UPDATE Blog - [7-5-12] - - Back area has been completely removed to decrease time in between engagements. - Teleporter has been moved AND looks different. (See pics) - Initial spawns have been changed to be more fair. - A few aesthetic changes here and there... I started Hollow after the loss of Temple, many of you guys may remember Temple, and unfortunately it got corrupted and I had to delete it Now, after the long file share break, I began working on it more, and it's getting to the final stages. I'd say it's about 85-90% done. All thats left is testing and maybe tweaking some aesthetics. Hollow is built for 2v2 at max and it's an asymmetrical 90 map. I tried going for more of a feel rather than insane aesthetics. Besides, gameplay is much more important, and I feel this map plays pretty well so far. I plan on submitting it to the 1v1 Smackdown competition when it's completely finished. I'll be updating this thread frequently until release. I remember playing this with you. It's a nice map, but the ramp 2x2 steeps with the lights are a big no-no. If you could change that up, that'd be great. Overall, it's a pretty solid map.
I realize that, but I haven't found a replacement that works well and looks good. Certain things go through the room behind it and it just makes it hard to work with. If you have any ideas that you could show me in forge that would be cool.
I want to see this map in person, but there's no DL link for the beta :/ The forging looks incredibly clean.
It plays really well, I remember get over killed by a grenate luncher in that.... I think probably 4-6 times. -_-
This looks sick but I hate the block 2x4s. I hope that's one of the textures you talked about changing. I know they are a very, very useful piece, but they are so bland. I'll dl it & check it out cuz it looks pretty friggin nice.
Did I test this at some point, the placement of that platform in the water and the general scene around it seems kinda familiar. But maybe I'm thinking of another map. It looks good... But I still don't know how to judge maps, considering I've only ever done mechanisms in terms of forging.
