Whirlpool is my latest attempt at a forge map. It's a small, enclosed, 2v2 type slayer map. The main thing I'm working on is weapon placement. Right now I have a Sniper in the river(see below) and a Rocket in the glass hallway. Although they look close, they are actually two of the furthest points on the map. The teleporters in the distance lead to the top of the map, which holds sticky grenades and a great power position. Thoughts?
I've played this with you, and from the version we did, the combat seems to stick to the top for the majority. The new weapon edits since then may have fixed that but I haven't seen it for myself.
I like the current layout fix as the rockets in the one hallway and the sniper in the water attracts more people to the center and keeps them moving. Way better than before.
I completely agree, that last test worked far better than the previous ones. I just hope the Tester's Guild tests it so I can get a second opinion.
