Jinx If anyone would, can you delete this thread? There is an error in the title and so I have made a new one. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I remember playing on Eventfall last night before I got off and we played 3-plot on it and it was really cool especial how you built the roof of red and all that stuff, If you worked on it a bit more you could probably enter it in the Objective contest, I got just a slight bit of screenlag of spawns, that's really the only problem I had with the map. Jinx looks nice and I would like to play on it sometime.
Jinx: proof that you can still make a 1v1 map pretty without horribly inefficient object use. Good work. Evenfall interests me quite a bit, as good asymmetrical 4v4s are awesome and hard to come by these days. I'll download it and take a lookaroo.
I have altered a few minor things since that game to try and reduce screen lag. the way the map is built it's just very prone to having it. Also, I'm glad that Jinx has interested you. If you play any games on it I would love to hear your thoughts, but I'll keep you in mind next time I try to test it. Thank you very much, sir! Jinx began as a project to make a split screen map, so I was already limited in object use, though dispite a few things not being as I had wished, I really do enjoy the look of it. The natural terrain was a big help, from the start I refused to have copius amounts of grey. I will eagerly anticipate your thoughts on Evenfall as well, I have been nervous about the map since it's making and opinions are needed at this point.
I was playing a few of the 1v1 maps in cluckinho's Smackdown Feedback thread the other day, and Jinx was far and away my favorite. A few of the other maps were pretty solid but we would always spot a few things that needed work. Then we played Jinx and honestly neither of us could find a single flaw with it. It was a perfect size for the gametype, layout wasn't too complicated nor too simple, natural geometry was incorporated very well, overall it was just a really fun game (even though I got owned, I think 15 to 4 maybe?).
