In a way I'm kind of glad I didn't get one... I would have just sold it. Also, they kind of ruin the anticipation, even more so since there's the possibility that it's not the full DLC.

Today and tomorrow. You could still get one, and seeing as I haven't seen any sign of anyone saying that got one on the interwebs as of yet, they might not have given them out today yet.

Also why wouldn't it be the full DLC. I imagine its purpose is to sniff out bugs and remove them before actual release. People can't do that unless they give a full product.

Hence why I would just sell it. What's the point of having a taste of the experience without a surround sound system and the full DLC? But when I DO get the full DLC...

Looks like its good enough to be a dlc.

I might as well buy a PC now. That desert place looks sick!

I'm pretty sure NO ONE her e will get it.
    Pity GruntHunter isn't a psychic.

In other news, mounted combat kinda sucks.
It's so pointless, and feels finicky as hell.

I just cleared my patch cache to do the fortify restoration loop on my lvl 50 archer/rogue. Makes things more fun, at least being able to kill elder/ancient dragons and draugr deathlords without getting one-shotted. Trying to stay away from putting godly damage on my gear though.

I mean, I want to still have fun in this expansion on that character.

You can play polo, as long as you have a mace.

I'm not psychic? How does this have anything to do with anything?

Probably the reason they left it out to begin with...
    And In Oblivion, too...

Archery on horseback isn't all that bad. I wish you could use some types of magic, because it's pointless if your a Mage.

They should have made it so you could use certain schools of magic, like restoration and conjuration, maybe illusion too. Now I have to be an old timey ambulance.

I saw this article about Dragone Bone weapons being added as an official thing along with Dawnguard.

I'm excited for Dawnguard, but not nearly as much as the ass-loads of good mods that are soon to come. Since all you guys either live under a rock or cannot run Skyrim on PC, I thought I should show you this:Enderal

Enderal is a complete overhaul (essentially an entire new game) of Skyrim, made by the creators of the Nehrim mod, which was made in Oblivion and is yet another overhaul of a ES game. (You can find it here:Nehrim - Start) Nehrim was an amazing mod, a game world with areas bigger and more detailed than Oblivion itself. Oblivion old timers and myself put it near the peak of top Oblivion mods, and of all time. Enderal is a WIP, no release has been set. I wouldn't worry though, they are very efficient at what they do, for a team of that size. (They don't get paid, both mods are completely 100% free) I will be keeping an eye on the project and suggest you all do the same. The game is much more difficult, and much better looking, so there won't be any of that "muhahahaha I have Daedric armor at level 14 and am unstoppable!" crap. Fast traveling is disabled (why would you want it?), but there are a few teleport spells to choose from.

Also: If you haven't seen my post earlier, you may want to check out Moonpath to Elsweyr, another amazing mod.

Wow, Enderal does look pretty sick, way bigger and more immersive than Dawnguard looks to be. In the picture of the bow with the deer I hope being a true hunter would be more useful in this mod.

plenty of reasons. i don't like walking the same path across the entire ****ing map 3 times for a quest where i have to go back and forth. just because someone doesnt play the game exactly like you like to play it doesnt make it the wrong way.

Do you take main roads? Probably a big factor in that. Most people who fast travel don't expect all the things that lie off the beaten path, or just damn lazy. Not to mention, it breaks immersion, and undermines the vision Bethesda had of the game. Everything off the beaten path, not the commonly traveled places or quests, make TES games stand apart. They included fast travel so that people didn't complain, but they rigorously tried to encourage players to use other means of travel, and, to play the game uniquely.

If Bethesda wanted players to fast travel, they would have not had added so much content in between these main locations, and kept the story short. Sure you CAN fast travel in Skyrim, you CAN only do the main quest, but if you want something more than a quick/shallow experience, you won't. If Bethesda thinks you'll get more enjoyment by taking your own route, they probably know what is going to give you the best experience. Try taking your own path, a different path each time, and you'd be surprised at what you'll find. But to each their own I guess.

So by play uniquely you mean play the way you do?
