    The claustrophobic hallway map

    Hello, Forgehub! It is my great pleasure to present my first map to you. (Well its not really my first map, that one sucked.)
    _-_-Confined is designed to have really intense SWAT games, as well as any game that doesnt have radar. I also strongly suggest getting rid of active camo and jet pack, as camo is overpowered and jet pack is useless. It is meant to have both wide but close lines of sight, and narrow thin lines of sight. This map was literally made to give you that lost, confused, paranoid, and claustrophobic feeling.
    _-_-Confined is set up for all gametypes, but assault is messed up (you have to take the bomb to your base) and infection may be messed up im not sure (havent tested that one) if it is messed up, you will have zombies spawning right next to humans, but humans are meant to spawn in the middle.
    _-_-I started forging this map after my friend said he liked close maps, boy did I surprise him! He hated this map (mainly because I always knew where he was and he had no idea where either of us were, we play split screen).
    _-_-This map has no lag problems whatsoever, however in the centerpiece, if you go up to high you instantly die for no reason.

    The colors do not appear in custom games, for it provides a way to map your way though the map (cwutididthar?)


    The centerpiece (this is really the only open area on the map.)
    Shotgun directly under ith middle of the piece, roof here is made of glass.

    Orange/Green base, I ran out of walls so I had to use 2x2 flats

    The corners, sniper behind the window, U-turns provide a confusing route with a needler as the only prize. Down here goes to yellow base, right goes to red. This is the corner if you turn right after entering the [Indoor] forging area.

    Bunkers (as I call them) in the center room safely hide your head but only barely let you see above them, it also prizes you a helath pack.

    One-way shield doors allow people to shoot in if people choose to campfrom the beginning of spawn, but prevent them from actually going in.

    As I said above, if you climb too high on the centerpiece, you will spontaneously die, there's me going to pick up my weapons after dying. :(

    map review-
    i like the idea, tho the doors, windows and walls focus does bring it down. (needs moar aesthetics :D)
    i like the idea, and the weapon layout works (except snipers, which imo arent necessary)
    overall, its all right. the kill ball isnt necessary, might be giving you the death problem when climbing the center piece
    i want moar :p

    I think its good for a newbie, i will download it and see for myself how food it is, but from the pictures it looks amazing...

    To be honest, this is a really bad first map. I think Noooooch had one of the few first maps that I'd consider "good," though his earlier maps are dwarfed by his current maps (most notably Crypt and Memento). And yes, I know the exact amount of O's in his name. Come at me.

    Still, despite this being a really bad map even for a newbie, Equinox did go on to create some of the better maps in non-MLG forge.

    Haven't seen many worthwhile topics to post in. I've become a lot more of a lurker recently.

    hmm. I guess I should point out some major issues with the map's design while I'm here.
    -Its very flat
    -Forged in the Colosseum
    -Lots of glass was used.
    -Not really much of a layout, just a bunch of walls symmetrically placed, forming maze-like paths (influencing close-quarters combat).
    I hope this advice will maybe persuade the author to reflect upon his past mistakes, or else it could end up haunting him in the near future and spawn unwanted attention.
