    Thanks for the heads up, just got it for $6.79! Am now waiting for it to download, suppose I'll have to find something non-internet related to do while I'm waiting so I don't spam up the bandwidth.

    Same here! In other Portal news, anyone planning on getting the Portal Gun Replica?

    No problem. My computer can actually run it perfectly, which surprises the **** out of me. It does take a bit for it to "Rebuild" a map though.

    So I thought about this map design at work, came home at 7, finished it at 11. It takes forever for the level editor to "Rebuild."

    Steam Workshop :: Cheeze's Chamber: 1

    Also, How do you download other's maps? I can't find a "Download" button on yours, Stick.

    Me. lol

    Hit the "Subscribe" Button. It'll download it next time you open Portal 2.

    Also, I've built a few maps I tested out on my brother. I've found that you don't have to make the map inherently hard, you just have to be thinking in a different fashion than the person completing the test.

    Made a map, check it out if you have Portal 2. :D

    Steam Workshop :: Repetitive Stress

    Have checked out both the maps posted here by Cheeze and Stick. Cheeze, yours was frustrating but satisfying to figure out, and in the end, I'm not entirely sure the solution I came to was how it was supposed to be solved, but it made me think anyway. And Stick, yours was short but sweet. Good use of conversion gel. :)

    I'm not sure how you figured it out, but I'd like to know. If you don't want to ruin it for anyone else you can spoiler it or send me a visitor message.

    Ok, PMed an explanation as best as I could describe what I did. Let me know if it doesn't make sense. :p

    Keep in mind I've just re-edited this map, so you may or may not have it in your queue if you've downloaded it previously.

    Yeh that works much better. Still took me a little while to figure out the mechanics of it but once I did, it went smoothly.

    So I played this one, and I got to the third room, then I died. The second room was way too hard, because the randomness of the bounce gel. The first room was easy, and i didn't even get to really try to third, cause i didn't want to have to go through the whole puzzle again.

    So my suggestion: Checkpoints.

    EDIT:

    Also, I hate conversion gel. Seems to break any map.

    I made a collection for Forge Hub members' maps.
    If you guys make a map, just put a link up in this thread and I'll be sure to add it to the collection.

    How did you try to solve the second room? Because there's a specific way you're supposed to solve it that's really easy. Also, I don't think there's an option to put checkpoints into maps. I could be wrong though, so I'll have a look.
    That's a good idea. I was going to throw together a blog with the links to all the maps in it, but I haven't gotten around to it, obviously. :p

    I also have 'Multi-Chamber Scenario' if you'd like to add that to the collection. I've also got another one in the works which is just about finished; just need to do a little more playtesting and then I'll publish it.

    How robust is the map editor? Can you screw around with physics and such or is it like Forge?

    The editor is pretty great, you can easily manipulate any physical settings and rarely will you find a moment you ask yourself 'can I do this?' and then find you cannot. However all the maps have one style and only so much possibility. There is something called the Hammer editor and with that you can create much more unique maps aesthetically and have a bit more freedom in what you put in. These maps can also be shared in the community Portal 2 workshop. Hope that helps you, though the best explanation is to simply see it in action.

    As far as myself if anyone feels like trying out more maps, here you go:
    Steam Community :: xaudienceofone :: Shared Files

    If you play these please comment on the steam pages and let me know how you like it. I'll subscribe to a few forgehub maps myself and do the same.

    Stickman, if you wish you may put my maps in your forgehub collection, it's a great idea, I just downloaded the three that currently reside there. And Cheeze, Conversion gel is amazing, you just need to know how to make sure the map is unbreakable when it's used. Play The Expressionist in my files and just try to break it.

    I just bought P2 for real cheap and just started playing it today. Humor is adequate, levels are easy. I'm waiting for a harder puzzle though. Anyway, back to work!
