From what I can see it looks like the mongoose has gotten a V shaped set of lights. DAMN those Bi-Xenon headlights.
The floating purple things just looks like an engineer to me. The things from ODST. No idea what that other thing is though but could be flood related.
nostalgia aside (halo 2 4 lyfe), i wish they'd push the genre forward instead of cashing in on current popular trends as it sounds based on everything i've heard so far. copying mp gameplay from a previous entry in the series would be a worse move though, and they'd probably be getting more heat than they are now if they pulled that. that's a bad business move and a cop out. I'm waiting for them to announce at least one thing, one tiny thing, that feels like a step forward instead of a step in or a step back. (this post is entirely about multiplayer)
This. Halo has always been about innovating console shooters. But this seems more like a characteristic of Bungie rather than Halo itself. I just don't think 343i can live up to the standards that Bungie has created.
...it's a crawler and a watcher. 2 new enemies. As far as what allegiance they have I would guess native to Requiem.
Why does "pushing the genre forward" or "copying what works" always have to revolve around competitive multiplayer? I mean, as far as competitive MP goes..Halo2/3 gameplay is what works and what a majority of people want. However, we've seen success with the horde modes (firefight), we've seen that expanded with Mass Effect 3, we've seen success in CoDs Spec Ops. Why could 343 just merry some of that together? You could earn your credits and unlock all your stuff to be used in firefight and spartan ops, still allowing all their "cool", "new" ideas but without ruining something Halo fans love. Hell, they could have some single "training sim" playlist that allows for that stuff, while 95% of the MP being classic Halo. Instead, they'd rather take huge risks building the entire multiplayer component around these ripped off features and throw in a few half-arsed "classic" playlists.
Sudden realisation that would be absolutely awesome and the bestest thing in existence. halo 2 vista editor port This :O This fully fledged map editor was included with halo 2 vista. How unbelevable would it be if we could create full, PROPER maps on PC, and then port them over the internet to our xboxes? Only downside I could see to that would (possibly) be modded maps, but think. We no longer need budget restrictions. Without several disc consuming themed forge worlds we can make our own maps, if need be using pre-set texture sets.
Only problem to this is that A LOT of people who enjoy forging do not have acess to a computer.and she said in the video.it is difficult to create geometry pieces.although that would be cool I think forge should stay on a disk. [br][/br]Edited by merge: So we all know that elites won't be returning to multiplayer.however apparently the new enemy class WILL.
I'm doubting that waterfall....... Don't take Halo4Follower's speculation too seriously. The reason they came up with elites being excluded in mm was that they wanted to focus on the Spartan 4's, including a new enemy contradicts that (also it makes no sense since mm is taking place on the infinity, so why would there be this NEW enemy on the ship).
Creating geometry in vista's map editor was hard, yes, but that does not mean that there is no room for improvement. Perhaps pre-fab plain shapes like cubes and spheres could be added, and then sized however wanted and textured, with support for text and fonts. It would really allow people with the potential to build great maps
I thought we had this discussion, and last time we came to the conclusion that an improved forge would be better because it keeps map files really small and reduces download times to a fraction of what they would be with a full map editor. While I would love a full editor, it simply isn't practical in matchmaking, or in customs where people are likely to leave because one guy is taking four minutes to download a minigame map. If there was a way to seriously reduce file size, great, but until then, text files for forge maps seems to be the most efficient solution. I say bring on the Forge 3.0.
