Spoiler I suppose I should have said I hated that aspect, not the ending as a whole. The ending is perfect. Spike and Vicious both lost the one that they truly loved, Julia, and there was nothing else to live for besides to seek vengeance upon one other. Both of them doing each other in was the perfect ending, but I just find myself disliking that aspect even though I know that if he would have lived, any ending after would be rubbish. I guess you could say that I wouldn't be completely satisfied with any possible ending. There were speculations that he didn't die, but was just sleeping. If that's the case, I would rather him just die.
So there is no overall story just character development? Nothing wrong with that, as I've said before I enjoyed the series though I don't put it up on the same pedestal a lot of others (you included I think) do but that is just personal taste. Trigun was kind of similar for the first half of the series and then had a 'tying it all together' type of ending that I thought was brilliant. ****ing god damn filler. This is #1 reason I don't enjoy DB;Z , Bleach and Naruto as much as I otherwise would.
So many spoilers..... Must .....resist.... I agree, fillers suck most of the time, especially when you're trying to catch up on a series. Even the good ones don't compare to the main story (in most cases). However, If an anime is close to catching up to the manga , I would rather watch filler than nothing (if I'm caught up). It's fan service
Naruto and Bleach are horrid for filler. At least One Piece's is relatively good for what it is. You only really get filler in shounen anime anyways though. Shounen = long running action anime. Like DBZ, One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, Beelzebub, etc.
Speaking of which, I wonder when the third one is gonna come out. And then ending didn't really suck so much as it was just confusing.
Strike Witches (Two Seasons) To Love-Ru Toradora! Rosario + Vampire (Two Seasons) Sekirei (Two Seasons) Love Hina Funny how all the stuff I seem to watch is ecchi. I don't even choose them on purpose any more either.
Try watching Code Geass if you haven't. There's little ecchi, and its more action based. Its like Gundam, since there are giant robots fighting each other.
Also I think I am slowly starting to lose interest in anime. A lot of the new ones seem to be aimed more and more at little kids or else just have an excess amount of boobage and nonsense. No actual depth to them or even a half decent story.
I think they are scheduled for release sometime in the fall. Not only did the ending not make sense, but the final scene was just a dissapointment. It was until the End of Evangelion that the series got closure in my opinion. I think that's because those kind of anime get the most reception these days. There are some decent ones out there though.
I'm only on episode 4 of Motto, but do you guys think there will be an anime adaption to Darkness To Love-Ru? Spoiler basketskate3 did say that it ended where Darkness would start
Yep, there has already been an announcement for it. I think Aschur posted the source a while back, but here is one anyway. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-ne...u-darkness-anime-to-be-both-tv-series-and-oad
I hope so. I also hope they repeat what they did in the second season and keep it in line with the manga. I want a third season of Strike Witches too dammit!
There's 16 pages of Anime/Manga that I don't want to read... I just started on FMA: Brotherhood, and am LOVING it. My brother suggests I start on Bleach. Anyone have any other suggestions? Oh, and I've seen Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz. Probably not the best anime, but it's from my childhood.
All I can say is, if you like Fma: Brotherhood, you should give Guilty Crown and Darker Than Black a try. Maybe even Gantz if you like over the top ****-awesome action. While the manga for Gantz goes on for a while, the anime diverges and leaves off where the manga was still relatively normal. I cannot vouch for Guilty Crown or Darker Than Black enough though, they are great. On a semi related topic, I just watched the FMA movie, The Sacred Star of Milos. Hot damn it was good, animation quality seemed a little worse than brotherhood in places like when the chimera were transforming, but it was good for storyline. While it didn't expand on the ending or add to the main story in any real way, it does help flesh out the world more and just makes me even more interested in seeing an actual sequel to brotherhood. I'd give an arm and a leg to see it (cwutididthar) EDIT: holy ****, I just realized how many pages there are in here. To think, I've read every single one of them...
I'm a sucker for songs that start before the credits start rolling, so my favorites are the ED songs for Gundam Seed, Kamisama no Memochou, and Cencoroll. It's not so much that I love the songs, but that they fit the tone of the anime perfectly. Spoiler Kamisama no Memo-chou ED sub thai - YouTube Gundam Seed ED 1 Remaster [HD] - YouTube
any body see code geass? imo best anime ever next to bleach, inuyash, high school of the dead and halo legends
