Bit of over dramatization for effect but you still missed my point. To me campaign, forge and spartan ops are not enough to justify paying full price for something I wont be playing more than once.

I wasn't saying that it would not be worth the retail price to you. There are actually people out there that will buy a big pile of **** for one reason or another, some of them even legitimate. Farmers for example could use it.

But me, I'd just as soon save my money because it's not worth that much to me.

And with Halo 4's multiplayer shaping up to be as crap as it is, it's not worth a buy to me and probably many others here. I'll rent it for $8 play through the campaign, goof around in forge for a little while and might look at the spartan ops.

But unless it's a game that I am interested in playing more than just once a week for the spartan ops missions I am certainly not interested in paying full price for it because I will not be getting good value for my money.

I read this new article. There isn't anything new in it. But one thing did catch my eye. When they were talking about guns they said DMG. I don't know if that is a typo and that they meant DMR or if there is another gun called that. Also the article doesn't confirm it but they hint at flood. It's something that should be taken with a grain of salt though

This, pretty much. The amount of value that you derive from a game, just like fun, is subjective. A game's value is heavily influenced by so many factors that it's impossible to say "omg there are so much content" alone to base how much you're getting out of your money. Is that content actually good (subjective)? Does the content have replay value (subjective)? Do you find this content better than other games (subjective)? etc...

Saying that the game will be polished and worth the money despite the fact that most fans will probably hate the multiplayer is a complete opinion. A campaign in a game like Halo or CoD is pretty linear and isn't designed to be replayable (like Mass Effect, Skyrim, etc...). Due to that fact, I personally don't see the value in that if I'm only going to have fun content lasting me a few days tops, but that is my opinion.

To argue on whether or not the game will be worth it is just as ridiculous as arguing over what someone's favorite food should be.

Relevant to this thread itself: I see that like 150 pages later, it still consists of people hating something for a justified reason and getting yelled at for having a negative opinion, getting passive-aggressive fanboyism from people in the form of condescending, snarky generalizations of other people's behaviors, and the occasional people that come in to make a "witty" one-liner about how **** the game is going to be (being overkill). God, this is turning into Waypoint forums... (I wonder how long it takes before we get banned for having those negative opinions)

Some people also defend the game with justified reasoning. You can't just pick out the dumbass ones that fit into your statement.

You can defend or nitpick at the game to world's end, every one will have different opinions. The issue is, the Halo fanbase is become ever more segmented with each subsequent Halo title. The further the game moves away from it's Arena Shooter roots, the more hard core CE fans such as myself feel disenfranchised.

    Here's what I want:
    Fast kill times
    Accurate Weapons
    Responsive Movement
    Solid Arena Maps
    Balanced and Diverse Sandbox
Classic Settings Playlists (more than one)

    Here's what I'm negging on H4 over:
    Sprint
    Armor Abilities
    Bloom
    Spread
    5sk

    Here's what I'm excited for
    Campaign
    Spartan Ops
    Halo
Customization (I like the crazy mini games people come up with)
Forge (so long as its at least on par with Reach)
    Stopping Power against Sprinters
    DMR & BR Returning

Currently as its stands, Halo 4 is getting a "rent" from me. I'm not ready to drop the big bucks on buying the game until I hear more things to set my doubts at ease over the Multiplayer Experience.

I want to be able to set the clip size of plasma guns lie the gravity hammer and focus rifle. The gravity hammer would be a great power weapon with only two or three hits.

I hope MC won't be the only human. Only a few allies would be nice. How about Pete Stacker and Mendoza? You can't make Halo without them.

Do you have the issue or did you see some internet scans? If so, link?

I'm starting to realize that there were actually people who liked Reach, via angry people on GameFAQs lol. Granted, most of these people aren't players who stay involved with a game long term but MS doesn't care..they got their 60 bucks. I guess the 343 team just thinks it's more fun to make a game for those people since they get to do something "different" than the classic Halo games they've already built. A classic Halo or a CoD Halo would probably amount to the same amount of sales.

I'm certain that about halfway through the game there will be a level on a Covenant ship which I can get totally lost on... again.

Not sure he is, because they made the possible "DMG Error" in that scan.

Not often enough for it to stand out, IMO. Can the game be defended justifiably? Absolutely, but most people defending the game here are defending it on just about every aspect of the game possible for the sole reason of, "shut up, you narks" along with some snarky statements about how a lot of competitive players are obnoxious because they feel so "entitled" (which is pretty much a spiffed up version of the "quit whining and adapt" (derp) argument). I just find it pretty ridiculous that someone can't own or express a negative opinion without getting bitched at about how they're self centered, unfaithful, ignorant people.

I don't think that every person here is doing that, and I think that just about everyone here is still hopeful and wants to look at the bright side of every concept (despite how bad it may sound), but my statement was more of "this thread is full of..." rather than "this thread is completely..."

Either way, Skis, you should really know the rules.

You can't post links to scans. You CAN however, tell people what to type into google in order to acquire said scans, which is nearly always typing "Magazine Name" "Name of Game" "Month" scans into the google.

Just so you know, I've been reporting these scans and things such as the leaked images of NFL Draft picks playing H4 in NYC, but nothing was ever done about it. At this point I assume they are ok.

And Loscocco, what do you mean? The link cluckin posted is clearly of the July issue and the one that other guy (sorry your name is too hard to remember) posted is of the May issue.

Oh sorry Skis. I thought you had the power to edit posts and stuff. The reason you can't have magazine leaks is because it is essentially stealing. Well, not essentially. It is. It is as illegal as putting up a DVD online. Instead of going out and buying the mag (which they wouldnt anyway but w/e) they are seeing it online without paying.

Yea, not here in gaming discussion. I wish.

Honestly, I never even thought of it that way. Even though most people would just flip through the pages at the store and then put it back on the shelf. Lol
I'm really excited to see some new maps! Hopefully they'll go into detail about them.

Just call me clique. Huh, that sounds unusual for a magazine to cover a game more than once, especially two months in a row. I'll take your word for it. Actually, I hope you're correct because that article didn't show me anything, so if I'm wrong then we'll get some new details soon Fingers crossed
