Sticky Post Your Desktop

I try to limit myself to 1 or 2 icons on my desktop. I'll usually just make a word document with a bunch random notes... otherwise I try and organize everything.

Skater's desktop would drive me crazy though. It's what my parents do

 

A clean ordered desktop shows consistency and stability. And that you know how to use filing systems properly.

 

I damn well know how to use the filing system properly, I just love having all those icons there for when I need them. Besides, I almost never look at my desktop because I rarely minimize Itunes. So I only go there when I have to open something. I could just turn icons off at anytime, but why would I when I use them? You can't say I'm not organized and such by looking at my desktop. And to anybody that ask how I could find something on there, it's been like that for so long I've nearly memorized it.

 

I'm a minimalist by heart. I absolutely hate cluttered desktops, hence the below setup.

I love setups that put an emphasis on the wallpaper, good choice hiding the dock.

 

X, can you link to your desktop wallpaper? I <3 it so.

 

Same with longshot, people need to post the image as well as their desktop..

 

Before you ask, it's not any larger.

 

It's not the fact that the screen is full of icons that makes me want to shoot myself, but rather the fact he still has the icons put on his computer my the manufacturer... Ebay, Support, Any HP program.

...And links to websites... Bungie.net... There is a reason web browsers have bookmarks. Also, Opera. Who the **** uses Opera. You also have MacAfee and Norton. Bad idea, both with think each other are viruses. Uninstall one of them. Just saying.

This desktop makes me want to shoot myself in the right testicle so I have to live the rest of my live a broken man.

 

100% agree Bloo, and a cluttered desktop and taskbar is a great way to really slow down system performance. Just a damn mess... what's the point of a wallpaper if you can't even see it??

I have 6 different security systems (3 of then being Norton) and I've never had a problem. I'm going to clean up my desktop before I get banned or something...and I'll se if I can survive without my precious icons.

Skater, that motto is one that only limits potential for greater efficiency in any aspect of development. Also, it's one thing to enjoy icons, but it's completely different when you have multiple that you don't use. Unless you say otherwise, I cannot possibly believe that you actively use every one of those shortcuts.

 

I use most of them pretty often. But in order to please Bloo before he shoots off his (nonexistant) testicle; I present to you...........
