He meant that as opposed to needing a certain level AND credits needed to buy it. So unlike Black Ops, where you need a required level AND the points.

I'm assuming right now that the default gun is the AR, unless someone says otherwise.

And look how that turned out.

Yup, AR default primary and Magnum default secondary are what I'm going with until otherwise stated. It's possible PR/PP could be default choices, too. I have a feeling that the AR will need to be pretty powerful in this game for anyone to bother with it as soon as they get a BR/DMR/CC. Maybe there will be an armor "perk" that lets you use weapons like the AR or Needler as secondary weapons instead of primary.

I think we looked forward to reach information firstly because we didn't know what a **** up it would be, and because bungie gave us a wealth of information and didn't hide anything. Plus the articles were about 3 times as long and much more interesting.

it turned out being an amazing last hurrah for bungie's halo? is that what "**** up" means?

reach beat out the majority of multiplayer and single player experiences at the time... maybe im thinking of a different halo reach.

yeah, I liked Halo far more than other FPSes on the market, namely MW2 then Blops, and certainly much more than Halo 3. Reach, with the right settings, felt more like Halo 2 than Halo 3 did.

I exaggerate. I didn't like the multiplayer as much as Halo 3. I can't speak for 2 because I wasn't on live at the time. It just isn't as addictive on reach.

The time has come to purge the old fans from the series. Initiate order 343.

But seriously, I feel like 343 has decided that the majority of their fans now consist of possible CoD turnovers and the Reach-loving side of the fanbase and are deciding that other groups, notably more competitive players will either stay with the series because they have before and "it feels like Halo" or leave putting a minor dent in the sales. This game may have the same battle mechanics as previous Halo games with regards to shields, movement (sorta, sprint does mess that up) and aiming, but it seems like they threw everything else out and brought in the kind of balance (I use this term lightly) and progression elements present in the popular modern shooters, i.e. CoD and Battlefield. I guess there just aren't that many players in the console FPS genre who care about the core elements of fair, arena-based combat anymore.

Unless forge is godly and there looks to be a decent community of more-classic custom games, I'm really not sure if this is worth 60 bucks.

I hope this was just an example showing you're not too excited for the game, rather than being literal.

Regardless if it's not the Halo we want, one thing is for sure and that's that they have been working their asses off for 3-4 years on this game. There will be an immense amount of content to come with Halo 4

...Campaign...Multiplayer...Forge...Theater (not yet confirmed)...Spartan Ops (which sounds to be A LOT of content)...and possibly more.

That is most definitely worth 60 dollars.

Just because it is worth $60 to them, does not mean it is worth $60 to everyone else. You can put years and years of effort into a giant pile of **** doesn't make it anything more than a giant pile of **** and you would have a hard time finding someone to pay you for it.

Right...because not getting the multiplayer you wanted, regardless of how well put together what is there, constitutes an entire game made up of multiple modes for different play styles ****.

If people get Halo just for the multiplayer, and then just to ***** about it, maybe they should stick to counter-strike.

I get what you're saying, but there literally is well over 60 dollars worth of content here. With Spartan Ops alone, I would estimate it running about 20-40 dollars total if it were payed DLC. Add a full campaign, multiplayer, and level editor to that and the value goes WAY over 60 dollars.

Your statement really doesn't fit this situation because no developer would literally build a pile of ****. That's just retarded.

What Halo 4 will be is an extremely polished and great looking game with tons of content and a multiplayer most fans will hate. That's still worth 60 dollars.

Lets keep our predictions vague seeing as they've only made one game and it was a remake, eh Nostradamus? Besides, polished turd is still a turd. But if they mature the campaign and don't **** up vehicles in multi, it might be worth the $100 I'll end up paying for it.

If Halo 4 turns out to be as bad as it is rolling out to be, I think "polished ****" will be the term I'll refer to it as.

Well, atleast it's polished, unlike COD.

Anyways, I'm trying to stop thinking about Multipleyer, and start imagining how Spartan Ops, Campaign and Forge will be. Now I'm slowly thinking less negatively abou Halo 4.
