Don't expect Forge info this early. They will most likely release it as a last minute ploy to get people on board.
I really don't think that it's them inside a virtual training course. That is, them in objective reality running around in their suits, playing in a changing environment based on the projections, etc like the Holodeck on Star Trek (sure this is the example they used to describe it, but I think that was just to get the point across). I think they're hooking into a machine playing a sim like we would, because it wouldn't make sense to have them dy- Waiiiiit, nevermind, then there'd be no reason for having a massive area of the ship dedicated to the sim. **** I don't know, guess it is a morphing training area (makes less sense, but whatever). Tritium. First because it was disheartening as **** to lose Forgetacular to a map with such obvious game breaking **** that we (chuck and I) accounted for (camp spots, lines of sight, getting stuck in areas, etc). Second, because I had other plans for it that were never realized.[/QUOTE]
...I don't know about "ploy" information about forge in Reach wasn't announced until way late into it.
I hope in h4 infection isnt zombies, but Flood infected players. And when a person dies by a flood infected player, they dont respawn, but rise up from where they were killed. No energy sword needed. just superior melee, strength, and jumping. -------------------- BTW instead of forunner vision, why didnt they just implement the Visor ability from ODST? No you cant see through walls but you have a better view of whats in front of you. Example: players would be highlighted in whatever team color they are.. And in FFA all the enemies would be highlighted red for being a threat. And weapons would have a faint highlight around them if there are weapons scattered accross the playing field so they are easier to spot? and health packs, and any other equiptment would stand out from the environment. -------------------- As far as forge goes, there shalt be: -Boats (gives invasion a unique twist) -Elephant -Civilian Vehicles (drivable) -Health Pack stations (like the ones in mombasa) under the decorative pieces -Decent and simple windows that dont give off framerate. Breakable if possible -There should be only one block, but the option to change its pattern/texture on it and give the option to extend the length, heigth, and width of the block, while maintaing a repeating pattern/texture as it goes -Night time FX. -at least 3 entire maps dedicated to forging with different themes and style of objects -Blood splattering onto the forge pieces instead of going through them. (yes it actually bugs me ) -a decent way to organize saved files into folders. -Pieces not moving after saving and leaving the game. (IDK if thats possible but it would be nice) -No Lighting issues (343 at least has some work put into that from what I know) -A legitimate sentinal beam for monitors. -more in-game movable objects (like in h3) -the option for drop pods. Example: something as simple as a hill marker or whatever that determines where, what team, and when it will land and if its possible to land there. (yet another unique twist to invasion. -A safe/kill boundary that automatically sets a safe/kill boundry around any structural objects that you might have layed out. Range can be adjusted. -A feature that allows you to choose background music (from a selection 343 has given. volume, etc can be adjusted) for whatever map you have created to fit whatever playstyle is intended for the map. (and another Invasion-related suggestion) -open/close doors. -And less goddam pieces that are too awkward to forge with. Examples: Dish, satalight large, walkway large, wall corners (from reach), etc. -------------------- 343 I trust you guys with h4, but in the mean time, update every playlist with ZB. Nobody likes their shots not hitting the target when they are supposed to. Its a videogame. Not real life. -I know 343 wont read this but whatever -_-
because it would be useless. youd have to blind or playing on a screen the size of a phone to not already clearly see those things in normal light. the VISR thing was for the nighttime, low light setting of ODST. If the armor of a player is already their team color, why would you need them to then be highlighted in that color? and in FFA you already know that you need to kill everyone except yourself, no need to highlight them red. and weapons and junk are pretty easy to see unless youre on a very small tv
Matrix or Gamer type of set up. Anything else would take up a lot of space but then why would spacial logic matter in a fictional game. THey could have it be the size of a closet if they wanted.
Monsters Inc. <3 Anyways, yeah that would be pretty cool. It already sort of exists in Reach, but then when the game ends all objects that were placed in Forge dissapear. Also, this might be a stupid question, but could somebody tell me all confirmed Weapons, AA's and ''Perks''?
You and your links. I'm going to check this out later at home. I have heard some rumors about there possibly being two or more "Forgeworlds" based on Requiem. Any confirmation?
i doubt there is any confirmation at the moment but i don't doubt that there will be because 343 are not entirely stupid they ARE lisening to the fanbase.. to an extent. it seems to me that a few "forgeworlds" would be entirely likely with different terrains and bioms. it just makes sense.
I feel as if my entire comment was for nothing. Anyways- I know what you mean but for long range sometimes enemy players and weapons are hard to spot. Besides it would point out enemies who are invis or hiding in dark areas. It would just make Gameplay a little more convenient.
Wow, listening to this podcast just made me realize that if you don't have the BR or DMR unlocked yet..you pretty much won't be using it, unless someone drops it. Stupid. Also, there are apparently "closer range" weapons you can choose for your primary. BR and DMR are considered longer range, precision by his words. Mid range auto can be assumed the AR. So closer range..SMG? Plasma Rifle? ...Shotgun? God I hope not the shotgun.
I'm loathing all the news I'm hearing about this game. I really don't know what they were thinking, changing this into Call of Duty. Well aside from: moneymoneymoneymoneymoney
Watch what you say, man. All the fanoys are gonna come in and try to eat you up.... or at least try. And man that podcast was boring as hell.
oh jesus christ. unlocking dmr and br. if that's true i'm really starting to get disappointed. this is like a barrage of more uncomfortable things being announced every week.
Idk if it'll make you guys feel any better, but I'm pretty sure they said you could unlock the Br as soon as you get the credits needed. There are no prerequisites that we know of. This game's still gonna suck though
now we just have to wait for pac to come in here to try to be the black sheep again with terrible arguments and questionable support for 343's decisions. remember halo reach when announcements were something to look forward to?
