I've been forging for many about 1 1/2 years now, (not all on Halo, for i calling forging using programs on a computer with about the same aspect as Forge the same thing.) and know a lot of tricks and all, but i was wondering if anyone would have some nice tricks they know (not some easy one that everyone knows).

I know about of Forge Tips n' Tricks but i think there is more out there, anyone got some good ones?

    I have a few =D.

You might be familiar with the "Unlimited golfball" glitch and Unlimited Vehicle glitch.

In case you aren't, basically, the "Unlimited golfball" glitch is in the haloball gametype. It is not truly unlimited, but you can use this gametype to set any object in the map with a gametype label of "Ball_spawn_location" which makes the object spawn a golfball. And the Unlimited vehicle glitch is done by spawning certain vehicles, don't remember whole list, but basically. Say you spawn in a ghost, spawn it in normally. Then go to your gametypes options and find the "vehicle set" option, set that to all human. Your ghost spawn will turn into a mongoose spawn. And that one spawn can spawn an infinite amount of mongooses, even if there is one already spawned, itll still spawn another.

Basically, its not really much of a trick, if you fuse the Unlimited Vehicle glitch and "Unlimited golfball" glitch, as in, set a vehicle that has been glitched with a gametype label of "Ball_spawn_location". It will result in, that every vehicle spawned by the glitched vehicle spawn, will have its own unique golfball spawn. I'm experimenting with this right now, I'm using 4 glitched spawns like this, probably generates about 50ish golfballs on map at any moment.

    And another is...

Though this "trick" is limited to only the haloball gametype, I think it is probably the most useful trick out of anything I've seen.
Basically, you can treat any object spawned in the haloball gametype as a scorable objective, and hand-in-hand with that, you can treat any object spawned as a goal.
You can treat both movable and immovable things as goals and objectives.

I was inspired by the maps "Labyrinth of the Destructaur" and "Acid Area" in their implementation of these things. Labyrinth of the Destructaur used the Haloball scoring system in a way that, the goal was a armor ability, and the objective were walls. Quite simply, he used this to "walk through walls", though he was actually just temporarily "deleting" the wall. Acid Arena was not a Haloball game it was a flagball, so it doesn't have the Haloball unique option of "deleting" any object. However he implemented Armor Ability type goals in a very interesting way. He used the armor ability goal with the shape of a long rectangular solid. He then had the player go into a shade turret, and the player could "aim" the goal and freely rotate it around, giving the player a very smooth control over the goal.

I made a pretty poor implementation of both of these things as the map could probably be done a lot better than what I did with it.

I set up the same thing that was on Acid Area, but in Haloball and with a haloball goal. However, my objectives were completely different. My objectives were players Jetpacks and Mongooses *Trollface*. Basically, I could aim the goal in the direction of someone who was riding a Mongoose or flying a Jetpack, and in both cases the Jetpack/Mongoose would disappear. Literally forcing the players out of the Mongoose/Rendering Jetpackers flightless.

Yeah I am sure cody has more than what he wrote but he is still experimenting.

I may be able to help you if there's something fancy you saw and were trying to imitate. If you could be more specific about what you're trying to accomplish (better asthetics, glitches, object types, good weapon placement, etc.) I could provide better feedback.

Feel free to send me a message too or add me on xbl if you'd like.

Actually brent, even when you use Rotation Snap and try to put a wall coli as a floor it will not be on a perfect 180 degree angle. It will always rotate by 1 degree when that map is reloaded in customs/forge.
