Most of the hate presented here is resource allocation. In my opinion it was needed because many of the changes like inventory sort options are needed and there aren't any buttons to assign it to.

    ^ this

Although i am almost CERTAIN that Bethesda will be professional enough to not have any bugs that severe. The only bugs I could foresee, and they are already present, is the slight delay from voice to action. Though it may be impossible, doing the shouts AS you say them would be incredible.

Unrelated to the current discussion, but still:

... and with this image, I portray my need for a multiplayer mod for Skyrim.

Dawnguard is official. No news about it yet, though.
However, I think we can expect more vampire stuff, some Morrowind influence, and maybe a bit about Falmer.

I'd say definitly a bit about falmer if the files found in the last patch labled DLC[01] are to be believed.

It's true, as one of the few logical ways a snow elf could make an appearance is if they say he has been a vampire this whole time.
    Just speculation, though.

there can't be any snow elves left, that would be a stupid plot.

why does it have to be a vampire?

I dont think vampirism is enough plot justification for someone outliving every other mentioned character in all of the Elder Scrolls. I don't think you will ever meet the dwemer or the snow elves.

I don't see why you think it would be so hard to bring either back according to the established cannon. Sure, snow elves would be harder than dwemer to justify based on the plot but not without reason. The dwemer disappeared into another dimension due to their own hubris with trying to be on the same plane as their gods. They didn't die, and its completely plausible that they could find a way out of their predicamentbecause of how smart they were. The snow elves are a bit trickier to bring back because they were hunted to near extinction by the ancient nords then devolved by the Dwemer over centuries. However, the Snow Elves were described as a brilliant civilization who if not for vastly supior Nord numbers probably would have won their war. Whose to say some snow elves didn't defect out of skyrim completely instead of hiding underground. It's not that far a stretch.

I say bringing back the dwemer would make fans go nuts but if they do, they ****ing better include them as an optional race in the next game, if there will be one.

I only mentioned it because the DLC will involve more vampire shenanigans, that's all. It's not a stretch to believe that there are still snow elves somewhere, though.
Dwemer, however, will not be making an appearance any time soon.

Well they kind of already have... in a way. I present the last living dwemer:

He was apparently in another dimension at the time of the dwemer's disappearance and was fruitlessly searching for his lost people.

I swear, if we have him as a follower and if he were to stroke his beard in battle my life would be complete.

I don't think I could do any quests that would require him as a follower.

Seriously, I'd be tossing dog treats in his face and trying to teach him to shake my hand with the spider legs too much to actually get anything done.

I am not pulling this out of my arse, but I believe reading somewhere before the game was released that there was some sort of dwemer mechanism mentioned at some point that was like a time travel sort of thing, going perfectly along the line of dwemer love ****ing up the universe's timeline and adding the ability to see a snow elf before they devolved.

    time capsule, not time machine

    and i'm just saying..

snow elves out-date the dwemer, they out-date the nords, and they outdate the dragons... and snow elf story would out-date all of the lore in skyrim completely. Don't you think that's a bit unlikely? It would totally understate the rest of the game. And you really think they would solve this gigantic issue by saying "oh, well he's a vampire".

not quite. the elder scrolls wiki says the death of the Snow Prince occured during the second era, which was when most of the remaining snow elves retreated underground and found refuge with the dwemer.

also according to the elder scrolls wiki: "A Dwemer smith contracts vampirism and leads 50 Dwemer soldiers on an expedition soon vanishing somewhere in Valenwood. (It is rumored that the vampire led the troops on the expedition to find a cure for his diease. It is also rumored that the vampire still lives making him 1 of the 2 remaning Dwemer left in Tamriel.)"
this occured during the ninth century first era, so its definitely plausible a snow elf could have contracted vampirism during the second era and still be alive.
