At least i'm not flat. Where'd you get that dress anyway, Tramps R Us? Motoko VS Arm suit - YouTube Culminating firefight of SAC season 1. Shame the video stops where it does though, because The Laughing Man is the best part of any and every episode.
Goodluck with the move Aschur. I've noticed some of you talking about the anime on this list, so it might come off as a shock, lol. Top 25 Worst Anime of Winter 2012 Spoiler 1. Black Rock Shooter 2. Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne 3. Senki Zesshou Symphogear 4. Nisemonogatari 5. Chihayafuru 6. Mirai Nikki 7. Inu x Boku SS 8. Gundam AGE 9. Last Exile – Pham of the Silver Sky 10. Guilty Crown 11. I assume these lists are compiled by one or two people as I rather like BRS. As for the rest, I've heard good things about Inku x Boku SS and Mirai Nikki. I also started watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It's rather odd so I'm gonna need some more time to let the story continue. I've not had much time for anime recently due to a massive workload at uni.
The lists are voted and compiled by thousands of Japanese people, lol. They are translated and posted on the site. The sad thing is HunterxHunter, BRS, Miria Nikki, Another, and Guilty Crown were also on the "Top 25 Anime of Winter 2012" list. Quite funny, actually. Fail lists are fail.
I recommend anyone with Netflix Instant Queue check out "Darker than Black." Pretty slick anime with interesting characters and a story that will probably require multiple viewings to grasp its complex nature and subtleties. The best part? The styling isn't your typical anime bullshit with horribly over-exaggerated character archetypes and annoying, screeching females trying to bone the male lead. Plus, how ****ing cool is that mask? It's like V for Vendetta meets Phatom of the Opera.
I've loved Darker than Black for a long time, its sad it hasn't gotten a third season yet though. Unrelated news: I managed to break my graphics card on my laptop (I think), and I am now staying at the Hyatt in Memphis. I ****ing love how many trees there are here. SOO... my anime watching and gaming has been put on hold until I get the laptop fixed.
I've seen the 26 episodes that were on Netflix...though episode 26 was pretty ****ing stupid and felt tacked on for no apparent reason. I wish I'd stopped at 25 where the real ending was. I figured that was supposed to be the end since so many anime do 26 ep. runs.
Hit it with a hammer. It solves everything. In other news, which anime does your sig relate to this time?
Doesn't relate to any anime/manga/video game. It was something I had drawn for an old girlfriend of mine. I'm just gonna have to take the laptop back where I bought it before I move here to Memphis, otherwise I'd go insane without it for long periods of time. (Its ****ing NICE in Memphis though.) For the time being, my only method of viewing anime will be via YouTube on my phone and the crunchyroll app I have. Manga, I have yet to find a suitable replacement. I may have to move some of my archived anime onto my phone to watch, if my laptop can't be fixed easily or cheaply.
Just watched Redline last night...I don't know how it took me this long to do so. Looks like someone in Japan finally realized how badly they needed to step their animation game up. I literally could not take my eyes off the screen. It was like F-Zero meets Speed Racer meets Wacky Racers meets Viewtiful Joe. Eye-gasm.
So much effort put into a movie that was only so-so. Definitely not one of my favorite Miyazaki films. The amount of detail in Redline was phenomenal. I loved how not even the cars had a trace of 3D. As far as hand-drawn cartoons go, Avatar is one of the only ones still 100% hand-drawn (at least when it comes to the bending and characters) and it really pays off. The cartoons made all on computer nowadays ****ing blow in terms of quality.
Seeing as we all love gaming too, I combined my two favourite things into one. I present to you my Anime Cars fro Forza 4. Props to those who can guess all the series shown. I have amassed a rather wide selection of anime designs for my favourite cars and shows. Forza 4 Anime Cars Album Here's a teaser of a couple of them:
lol ponyo's one of my favorite miyazaki films. you gotta remember it's the only one made solely for 5 year olds. avatar and legend of korra both use a lot of CG, but thats just due to limitations of show budgets. the amount they do hand draw is pretty crazy. It comes down to substance really, and 90% of things out there really dont have it. Anime, American Animation, most of it's sooo terrible.
Well, I don't know what the ISF and the RS5 were, I just liked the designs. You got the LFA wrong, it's also Strike Witches, this one is Sanya. I think I gave most of them away with the image titles but well done. You win a cookie. Here you go -
