This game needs its own thread.

"FEZ is a game for XBOX LIVE ARCADE developed by POLYTRON.
In it, you play as Gomez, a 2D creature living in what he believes is a 2D world.
Until a strange and powerful artifact reveals to him the existence of a mysterious third dimension!"

    WHAT IS FEZ?

I have just about finished the whole game for a second time now, discovering all the secrets. I simply need to get the last three anti-cubes from the Clock Tower.

Buy it now. Even if its just for the moment where you enter the 'sync' room. It had the same effect on me as when I first entered Mexico in Red Dead. Its that good.

Perfect example of music and level design coming into perfect harmony to create a memorable experience.

The game in general has the best soundtrack for a game I've heard in many years, with its catchy and oftentimes moving faux 8-bit pieces, which tie perfectly into the backdrop for which they were applied (the 'sync' piece above is a perfect example).

If you love game music, or music in general, do yourself a favour and buy the soundtrack from here: FEZ | Disasterpeace
    I did. Its stunning.

    Discuss.

Well, you got my attention. That was my favorite single player gaming moment basically ever.

I've finished this game, buy only to about 180% I think. Still have a few secrets to find, such as the clocktower cubes and the owl room, but they're more due to laziness than inability. I have too many games to play and my attention can only be in so many places at any given time.

The Sync Room was an awesome level, just to add some weight. I also thought the GameBoy levels were cool, too.

How long will it be before someone apes the perspective shifting mechanic, do you think?

I didn't realize there was a fez thread...

It's such an amazing game, being half great platforming and half cryptic puzzle solving skills...

I'm actually in the process of creating a sort of notebook to document the codes and messages in there, like the scribblings of a madman.

Literally just found out about this yesterday when my friend showed it to me. I played through the demo and its a guaranteed buy since I got paid today. You're damn right about how well the music and game work, this is another XBLA game that crafts atmosphere in a way many full titles could only dream of. The mechanic is a blast, when I first realised what difference rotating actually made I was really impressed. Can't wait to play this through.

So I just did the crying waterfall place...

Everything was just... amazing. Especially the one with pink lighting up boxes in the dark room, my favorite level in the game so far. There is a bunch of secrets on that island. And when you find that second town... dat music... you feel so connected to it just like that moment in RDR when your game just gets so much more meaning. Those moments are just scattered all over the game. I liked the very beginning when
When the game glitches out and restarts everything with the new perspective. Did anyone else think their game actually crashed? I did.
LOTS of time has been put into this game. Like holy ****. Seriously, turn off your computer and buy this game. Its worth it.

    Fez = [IMG]

Doubt anyone's going to get that.

Anyway I played this at a friends house and had a lot of fun playing it. I would buy it but I am poor.
