Umm, wasn't sure where to put this, I think it's considered art? And there's no way I'm posting something that took this long in the Blogs section. The topic: facebook people Why: I was bored and decided to try my hand at some writing. It's not meant for any specific purpose, just for fun: Facebook- all those people with perfect little picnic lives, babes with uncannily developed *cough* areas of interest (they flaunt, not my fault!), the under-age delinquents boasting over their previous nightouts, saturated in (photos of) drunkenness and perceived social deviance. The "badasses" who chew up their parents, friends, and others behind their backs, the bored pot heads with way too much time on their hands. The, "you're still alive?" ones, too pompous, busy, or could simply care less for the inter-workings of a social media website, the care-free-rs who often post trivial and/or overrated updates, ranging from, "time to go to bed" to, "my mom just told me the funniest thing.." Not to mention the ol' unavoidable exes (should i just block them, what's to stop me?), the relative or family friend who you'd hate to see viewing (and undoubtedly criticizing) your life habits. And of course, the good friends, the "good" friends, the cool cousin, brother, sibling, or uncle. Oh, and the socially needy, "my life sucks" teen, the always-takes-pictures-of-his-car guy, the self-photo-obsessed-weight-lifting buff, the way too patriotic guy, the extremely photogenic guy, the self-conscious girl, the "EVERY PICTURE MUST BE OF US SHOWING PUBLIC AFFECTION" couple. The lyrics, quotes, and general ideas-posting philosophical few, the old friend, the new friend, or even the strange, can't quite gauge friend who frequently surprises you. Facebook- You headache-enticing, bullshit-producing, friend-gathering, memory-reliving, mischievous medley of bittersweet technological byproduct. Soo yup.. that's it. Comments? What you like, hate, etc.
You about forgot the angsty, bitching about facebook all the time person. I'm sorry but I have a hard time considering that "art", it wasn't really even anything but a short rant? Sorry to be poopin in your pants like that
On FB if you use Instagram and a expensive camera enyone will tell you you're ''OMG!11!!1! Ur ar such a gud photografer lov u!11!11! F*ck you and your fake ass ****.
You can view it as you want. I tried to eliminate cliches, use digestible descriptions, add a little flow, etc. Took me about two hours, so yeah, kinda sucks that you're "poopin in my pants." I honestly am not trying to come across as an "angsty, bitching about facebook all the time person." Though I can understand peoples' qualms against "complaining" as some if not most will probably see this. But as I said, you're entitled to your own opinion and I'm open to heavy, negative criticism.
To be clear, these aren't my opinions of these people and I don't mean to offend people, it's mainly the opinions/labels most people generate from the social media "layout," for lack of a better word/laziness since I ijust woke up
Erico. I liked it. I just think you needed to write it a little more structured, and try to get rid of the 'edit-ins' in the bracket. Either include them as part of the text, or exclude them altogether...
