Not what I thought I turned it off after 5 minutes. It's so scripted its depressing. BUT from what I got there were a few points I picked up - Unlocking stuff works almost crysis style. You have to buy extra loadout options, but if you want you can force them on or off. In other words they have tried to make halo not halo, but then stuck themselves in limbo, putting them in the worst of both worlds - Medals are now shown straight after the game (guessing for instant gratification) BUT the amount of medals you earn now gains you more points. That is a nice thing I must say, because better team players generally earn more medals, so it is nice to see them encouraging supporting roles - Forge has been cut to tie in with the storyline better, and stop the random weapon spawns from noclipping the roof of maps. On a personal note I hate 343 saying "you can fix it in customs." I'd rather it would be "you can add them in customs." They'd piss off less people that way...

The fact that you genuinly thought 343 would make such a big cockup mistake that would piss off so many people goes to show that they arn't doing things right. So why change something that before EVERYBODY (besides cod and bf fanboys who tbh shouldn't be allowed to play the game, not that halo fanboys n girls are any better) DOES like. Not will like. Positivity time: If they deliver on Spartan Ops, even like 50% of what they're promising, it'll be fantastic.
They could've seriously dodged a bullet by using a different name. Spartan Recon doesn't sound much better, but even then, I can't think of a suitable name.
I couldn't agree more with them switching Spartan Ops to something that sounds a bit less . . . CoD-like. Also Oli, you almost gave me a heart attack.
Maybe they could name 'Spartan ops' just 'Recon'. Think about it. "I'm getting off this crappy multiplayer to play some Recon mode."

If there wasnt forge in this game I'd doubt I'd buy it. Forge is the sole reason why I've stuck with Halo.
