I love the new look of the elites. The grunts faces are gonna take some getting used to, but overall, I really like the more rough look of the covenant. Pleaseeeee let the gameplay be so much better than Reach.
So, is anyone else thinking those are the Heretics? Remember the heretic clans you fought as the arbiter in halo 2? I'm thinking those might be the "Enemy Covenant" discussed so far. It's supported by the completely different and more rugged armor design, and the feral look of all of the elites and grunts.
I dunno. Those heretics were the ones that split off because they knew the dangers of Halo and that the Prophets were liars; they had the same knowledge of Halo as the humans. If anything, I would assume that they were supporting humanity.
I'm really wondering when they're going to actually show a full multiplayer match, or at least a good chunk of one.
Exactly. That's one of the reasons why I'm hesitant towards the new look. I prefer "Iconic" to "scary". Old Unggoy, the triangular methane tank was Iconic. I wouldn't mind so much if the human-allied Unggoy keep the old look, and only the enemy Unggoy look repulsive. I'll wait for footage of them in motion before I say I hate it though.
That all the way. Scary is good, but theres almost like a sentimental value in the design of the grunts. Their figure is as iconic to halo as master chief being green. I don't know why, but in every halo their design has been perfect. And now...
Love the new grunts, like seriously love them. I'm really looking forward to seeing some full multiplayer action, so I can actually judge the game without any misconceptions.
