I have recently learned that Vehicles will not be in multiplayer. This could a good thing or a very, very bad thing depending on what they meant by that. Hopefully they meant vehicles would no longer be in ranked, and still be available for custom maps. If, however, they didn't, my choice to buy far cry 3 might change. It isn't far cry without vehicles.

Vehicles were not an important part of Far Cry multiplayer. Most maps didn't even have them. They were pretty much death traps.

Are you joking? Maybe in ranked, but they were great for custom maps.

All that was said was multiplayer, customs maps weren't mentioned, so I'd assume it's matchmaking that's being talked about.

Have they even confirmed a map maker yet? I know all the Far Cry's so far have had one, but still.

The editor has been confirmed with new and upgraded features. They also said "We've tried putting vehicles into multiplayer, but they weren't good for the team-based gameplay we're trying to promote."
    Which is stupid.

I never saw Far Cry as having a vehicle-based multiplayer. All the best custom maps in Far Cry never had vehicles in them, and IMO, they were just used for shits and giggles. It was damn near impossible to shoot from the MGs on the trucks, and everything else was used for getting from point A to point B quicker.

Overall, I think I'm happy they're removing vehicles.

In singleplayer, vehicles are vital, in multiplayer, they were fun. I made a boat only map where you fight on boats only, and we had a blast.

I think maps designed for vehicles is fun, but if you throw them in for no reason, then no, it's not important.

Someone give this guy a medal. Vehicles were fun, and most times were used in maps made for shits and giggles, but they're not essential. To add to that, I never saw Far Cry as a game having vehicles in multiplayer.

I'm pretty sure they are in custom maps. But it'd be nice to have them in non-custom games. Also the water in the editor looks amazing.

I've been playing the **** out of this game since it's arrival early Christmas morning. Lots of fun in the later portion of the game where the wingsuit becomes available. It's not so much the fact that there's a wingsuit- it's the fact that it comes with a parachute, you can easily glide for hundreds of meters before you even touch the tree line when used from a radio tower.

The "specialized" weapons are ****ing great too, I'm running with the Shadow, the Shredder, the AMR(?) and the bow; because it's a ****ing bow. Honestly I see myself putting easily 12 more hours into it, effectively doubling my time.

I can't wait to play this one, unfortunately with the whole Mass Effect Trilogy to go through it will be a while. When I get there though I'm going for a stealthy play through. I've had about enough running and gunning with an assault rifle and a rocket launcher for a while, so I'm planning to make full use of the bow. Going to see if I can stealthily complete all of those pirate camps.

It's so worth it. It can be a little frustrating sometimes when you forget to bring arrows/ammo for a suppressed weapon, but it has it's own challenge then. I would suggest putting them off as late into the story as possible as to give you the oppertunity to use the later stealth kills.

As soon as I can I aim to go all stealth. I'm really tired of playing assault style shooters (besides Halo I suppose) and I've started to enjoy stealth play-throughs of many different games. I'll probably do a few early on then save the others for once I have a lot of arrows/ stealth skills.

I wish I had known how cool some of the stealth kills were before I got to this point in the story. I've only got about 10 things left to raid, and I tore through them early on because I didn't know what I was doing. It's much more satisfying to run a guy through, draw HIS pistol and waste three guys before escaping behind a building via sliding to cover only to run a second guy through and throw a knife in the guy about to pull the alarm, in the same animation.

It's a fantastic game, and I really do like it, but mother of god they could've done something to avoid almost constant repetition, and one of the loosest plots I've ever experienced.

The gameplay is damn good though, it more than makes up for the rest.

I didn't care about the characters at all, but I really enjoyed the way Jason came into his own as a hunter instead of the ***** you start out as, especially when you get the later stealth kills.

It's a bit weird how you have skill trees, but are required to pick everything anyway.
